You’re using anecdotal evidence (Gibbs) as proof that Saban doesn’t develop his talent. In Y2 at Bama he won 12 games. Y3 he won a NC, Y4 at LSU he won at NC.
Am I to believe that those only happened bc he had the best players in the country? That he made those rosters more talented than any other team in the country in 2 recruiting classes?
Or perhaps, the guy develops talent. He recruits talent, and he develops it. It’s why he’s stayed on top of college football for so long.
There is no mastery of any of them at all haha.Just checked Rivals for Bama's RB class this year. Imagine, they have the #1 and #2 in their rankings committed. But, can you show me any underachievers Bama has taken in the portal? Why would they waste a counter? Or any losses through the portal that have excelled elsewhere and probably encouraged to go elsewhere? They have earned the right to be selective with their additions from HS and the portal. On the other hand, if you are the cumulative number 1 with a first, 2 seconds and a third (8) over the last 4 years, how can you have a loss to any team without underachieving? Georgia is close with two firsts, a third and a fifth (10). OSU blew it with a 21st in 19' with a second, fourth and fifth I believe. Oh yeah, Bama is the current leader for 23'..... Once again I simply used Rivals cause it is easy and free. I have not mastered ON3 or 247, if their's is significantly different and you would like to counter this data.
I'm really not impressed with Stallings. Of course I don't know anything, but that's the way I feel.
Love the bio by the way, lol
I haven’t watched a second of stallings hudl but I’ve seen his work out video that went around a while ago and all I can say is, the kid looks 25. So I wonder if there is a concern that much of his success is because he’s maxed out physically already. I think that’s part of what made Crouch such a good RB - at 16 he was just so much more mature physically than other kids.
Whereas with maybe with Khalifa, he’s already big and physical but maybe they think he hasn’t reached his full ceiling yet.
All just speculation on my behalf. Hell, maybe it’s just stallings isn’t having a great senior year. I still go back to when stallings committed, it was noteworthy that very few on the staff acknowledged it on Twitter. Heupel didn’t. And as far as I know, he hasn’t visited since he committed.
