‘23 AL S Sylvester Smith

Not disagreeing necessarily - if they're a top 5 overall guy. A generational corner.

Lot of new research is showing how lockdown secondaries may be more important than pass rushers, due to "coverage sacks" and just how much teams now pass.
Yes, I'm talking about your Minka Fitzpatrick and Honey badger type recruits

I think it depends on the ability of the pass rush. If you have an average pass rush then I could see a lockdown secondary being more important. However if you have a really good pass rush, I think it’s superior.

FOUR-STAR SAFETY TARGET NEARING DECISION

Four-star safety Sylvester Smith of Munford (Ala.) High School revealed last month that he was planning to announce his college decision on April 25. He hasn’t named a group of finalists, but sources close to his recruitment believe Tennessee is one of the favorites to land him as he moves closer to his planned announcement date. There’s at least a chance he will be back in Knoxville for Saturday’s scrimmage, although Smith said Wednesday that he still wasn’t sure where he would be visiting this weekend.

The 5-foot-11, 195-pound Smith has already been to Tennessee twice since January, and based on where things currently stand, the Vols have a good shot at landing him when he announces his decision later this month. I joined 247Sports director of recruiting Steve Wiltfong in making a Crystal Ball prediction Thursday morning. for Tennessee to land Smith.

I didn't say there wasnt... but a 5* CB is worth as much as a legit left tackle. Don't be surprised if soon they're not pushing 500,000-1mil in NIL money.
Yeah, that’s still not Nico and Arch money though. That’s what his tweet was about.. not left tackle money

I know that and I don't disagree with you, my point was superstar CB's will be pushing big money sooner than later more than likely.
