Al Washington (Potential DC)

First, those people are not part of this decision.
Secondly, I’m trusting someone who has been a football coach and Athletic Director know more than you about the needs of this team and the experience of a coaching candidate.

It’s a college football message board. I’m here to give my opinion. Do you honestly think that I thought I knew more about the situation than Heupel/White? And I never said those people were part of the decision. Im pointing out the REALLY bad things that have happened to this program when it hired people for jobs that they had no experience .

Well after watching an AD who had never been an AD, hire a HC who had never been a HC, some of the rational among us think that one of the 3 most important coaching positions on a 60 million dollar football program should possibly go to someone with actual experience.

From your lips to Heupel's ears.

It’s the overwhelming moaning and crying over every little thing. Trying to find fault with every hire or statement. It’s the enjoyment of being miserable. Take a break!

Recruiting is not the issue with this program.
The one big question regarding Heupel and his staff is can they recruit at a high level in the SEC? If they land the best recruiter in the country as DC, that eases some of the concerns regarding recruiting. Obviously he will be judged by how his defense performs, but Tennessee needed a ace recruiter on staff and this would fill that void.

Sunseri was a bad hire. A very bad hire. Terrible hire. Nonsensical hire. Awful hire.
It wasn't nonsensical. It looked fine on paper. He was simply exposed beginning in the 3rd quarter of the Florida game. It just crumbled from there.
I remember thinking "this could really work out for us." --2012 me

This isn’t moaning and complaining about the new assistant so and so. It seems to be given that this O is going to score some points, making this the most important hire. We had one of the better offenses this school has produced in 2012 and we really crapped the bed because of an incompetent DC. This is a big deal.

No dip ****. I said the guy could be the next Bob Stoops. I’m willing to admit I don’t know. I’m laughing at the guy who is trying to tell the rest of us how a lifetime position coach is going to be different than Sunseri.
Ok whatever you wanna think. The name calling fits your post. Ignorant. Pretty stupid thing to assume that this guy would be just liken Sunseri.

He didn’t say the guy sucked. He said it looked a lot like Sunseri. And their resumes are a little similar. I’m willing to bet this guy is a lot more composed/ impressive in interviews.
The comparison was not to Sunseri before he called a play at UT, it was the comparison to it being something unsuccessful. If it was just a factual comparison why not compare it to David Cutcliffe?

Nobody disagreed that it was a big deal. What everyone is tired of is the constant complaining.

Once again. I stated that his resume looked a lot like Sunseris but absolutely stipulated that I DIDNT KNOW. I’m not sure how much more plain I can make it. I would probably watch throwing the word IGNORANT around when you seem to have reading comprehension issues.

No comprehension issues...call coach and tell him who you think who he should hire. Very simple

It's actually more laughable to assume every position coach is automatically the next Sunseri.

He may be different than Sunseri. But he has NEVER BEEN A DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR ONE DAY IN HIS LIFE. And the guy who claims to know that he’s a different/better DC than Sunseri is talking out of his keister.
