Word this evening in Columbus is OSU isn't matching the salary or title. Washington is now chewing it over with his family (particularly his father, a former OSU player who I've heard wants his son to keep an open mind given all the money on the table). We will hopefully know something shortly.

Interesting to see what happens if he takes the job. How long till he puts together his defensive staff? Who he picks? Will he be given total control over the staff selections? Will he have the same challenges getting a staff as the AD and HC had getting him?

His energy would bring so much needed boost to the program. My only concern would be how long could we hold on to him? He has already turned down one HC opportunity.

I hope this is true but with all of the mixed reporting thus far, I remain skeptical. No true sources any more.

Have never understood the “bend but don’t break” philosophy? What does it even mean? You don’t start playing defense until they get inside the 20 yard line? It makes no sense to me
