'22 AL WR Marquarius White (Tennessee signee)

What does On3 rank White as?

Kind of odd - great hudl, and Alabama, Auburn, UGA all pursued or showed interest.

Yet rivals and 247 have him as a 3 star?

I guess it’s because of his size/stature. If he’s really just 155lbs, that’s small - but there have been plenty of guys who have had a lot of success at that size.
He makes Hyatt look big!

I just hope we as a fan base have some patience with him.

He’s explosive but I haven’t seen him be forced to be physical at the LOS in any of his highlights.

I’m hoping for the best tho.

I am hoping that he watches a lot of film of the KC Chiefs.... they have a small receiver that has already got the recipe. Maybe TJ can channel the QB too.

Definitely fast, and I agree with earlier post about LOS. Yes he’s crazy fast but does anyone know his actual size? 25lbs difference on two sites. Hopefully he can get a little bigger.

Size isn't everything, for the thousandth time strength is more important than size.. the two are not synonymous.

While that is generally true, can you find me a productive high level wide receiver in the SEC at any time that weighs under 160 pounds or even 175 for that matter!?

Cole Beasley does fine at 174 in a harder hitting league. Welker and Hill are barely 185 so let's be honest they're probably lighter.. plenty of 180-190 in the NFL.. SEC isn't close I think he'll be ok.

Edit I also don't think he's 155 either but 185 probably isn't in hit future.

I agree but size helps durability
Not true. If size alone equaled durability then Elijah Simmons wouldn't have gotten hurt. Proper diet, Strength & Conditioning, rest, and aggressive regenerative therapy equal durability.

Edit: please note its strength and conditioning. Not size and conditioning... I'm not a strength coach but I major was geared towards Kinesiology.

Still, White admits Georgia made it tough for him down the stretch, as he had to sit down with family and reassess all options to make sure.

"I definitely had to sit down and talk with my family about Georgia," White said. "It is Georgia, so no matter what, you know they are going to be successful. It was kind of tough, but at the end of the day, I am a Tennessee Volunteer."

It was very important," White said of seeing how Tennessee's offense performed during the season. "Just seeing how that offense clicked it on midway when guys got used to the offense. I feel like I can do the same coming in as a freshman."

The Squirrel was already going to be my favorite player coming in ---- Now I love him even more.

So now we’re up to FOUR total players that are “small” impactful WRs, thanks for proving my point! Hopefully Squirrel grows some as he matures and becomes the best version of what he is now!!!

Yeah, excited about this one.

Swain was very high on this guy. Higher on him that almost all other recruits. Said it's his route running that is elite. Runs routes like he's a 5 star.
Most important thing nowadays for WR. Physicality is overrated now since DBs cant breathe too hard towards WRs. Just teach him the footwork to shake press coverage and watch him fly.

Man adding White,Webb and if Tillman stays which I think he is.You thought last year's offense was fun to watch this sh*t fixing be on a different level.Im not discounting what we have but White runs superb routes, and Webb your not going to keep him off the field calling that now he will be starting...If we can shore up the defense this is getting interesting.
