Alabama cheating is

The NBA became less appealing to me when all these dudes started playing AAU ball together since they were 12 and nobody wants to upset the other guy. There are no more rivalries the way it once was. Yeah the quality of the player 1-12 is better, but the villains and rivalries no longer are there. I remember growing up watching Bulls-Pistons, Bulls Knicks or Phoenix- Houston or Lakers/Blazers. To me that no longer is in play.

Your opinion is noted.

Dwight Howard and Josh Smith playing on the same AAU team back in the day hasn’t affected my enjoyment of pro ball. Players on different teams sharing the same agent doesn’t bother me either. Durant and PJ Tucker played together at Texas, and it seems like every year in the playoffs they’re going at each other like they’ve never met, damn near ready to kill each other.

I acknowledge the lack of rivalries like we had in the 80s, but rivalries are cyclical in nature and will evolve as players bounce around via free agency. Some kid in high school or college today who grew up watching NBA ball probably views Warriors-Cavs the same way I did Lakers-Celtics or Sixers-Celtics at a similar age.

So the only reason Saban is the unquestioned GOAT is because cheating right? He has no coaching skills. It’s just about money right?

The NBA is almost unwatchable now. It's not basketball. It's some hybrid crap game. If I wanted to watch people just chuck up 3 pointers or dunk every trip up or down the court, I'll go to the park. Hardly anybody runs any plays anymore, it's just.. let's clear out this side so our team superstar can drive and dunk or throw up a 3 ball. It's more boring than Nascar is nowadays. Two once great sports that have destroyed themselves.

Your heartfelt defense of Alabama purity and homage to the lil guy is noted.

That said, Saban is an excellent coach, but it is certainly the case that the combination of his arrival at Bama, the systematic approach to...ahem...recruitment and....ummmm....retention employed at Alabama, along with the advent of the 4 team playoff has contributed to his success.

“Only reason”? No. Significant contributor? You be the judge.
