He might have to be around for a long long time waiting to win again. There's a lot more competition in the SEC now.I wouldn't be surprised if after the Natty he hangs it up. The way he's been talking lately kind of hints at it. I think he sees that it's changing in a way where he's not going to dominate like he once did. As competitive as he is i doubt he sticks around much longer.
I think they hit some sort of genetic ceiling. Yes, they had a good record, and their defense looked good against Georgia on 3rd downs. That was impressive. But, they played BAD a lot this year. Center couldn't snap the ball. Lot's of penalties. OL held a lot, some of it called. Look at how they played at Auburn and the south Florida game. Even first half against us they weren't good.Really surprised me that they didn’t play better. I figured with a month to prepare Saban would have his team ready to peak. Instead he gave us early season Alabama where his team made mistakes and couldn’t throw the ball down field
Honestly, I want bama to lose every game they play. Rooting for our conference to be good has never helped us. It’s just helped those teams (in those high profile games ) get more exposure and top recruits. Point blank… it was good for us. They lost those games. It prevents them from being able to say they’re on another level from the rest of college football. Separately, it was good for us because they lost two teams that haven’t been on top over the last decade. Michigan has won some high profile games but hadn’t won a playoff game. And Texas has been great since Vince young. It shows the game is changing. And as I’ve been on here saying I believe it’s a combination of the TP, immediate eligibility for transferring players, and NIL.Losing to Michigan and Texas and almost losing to USF.
No quality wins outside of the SEC and not good performances.

Rumor has it that he doesn't want to turn into Bill Belichick. Retirement is definitely a possibility.I wouldn't be surprised if after the Natty he hangs it up. that's right. with that logic, since UT lost to Al O'Bama, did UT embarrass the SEC? Nope! How can someone or something embarrass you in the first place? You only embarrass yourself IMHO
But again, Alabama beat two of the teams you mentioned, and beat Georgia, who beat Missouri. We beat our B1G team, something Alabama failed to do.
Ole Miss, Missouri, LSU, everyone beat up on the B1G. Alabama just stunk it up in post season. The way they played, Tennessee, Ole Miss, and Missouri probably could have beaten them.
But again, Alabama beat two of the teams you mentioned, and beat Georgia, who beat Missouri.
By your theory, we embarrassed ourselves by losing to an Alabama team who couldn’t beat Michigan. We thoroughly embarrassed ourselves by losing to a team who lost to Georgia, who embarrassed themselves by losing to Alabama
It does matter. Your inability to comprehend that makes you look foolish. It doesn't matter, Alabama could not beat the B1G and the others did. Alabama is trash. They get refs to help them beat the other SEC teams. When you don't have refs, you see the result. Even TCU could beat Michigan lol.
Alabama is one of only two SEC teams to lose to Ohio State in a bowl game. So Alabama can't beat B1G. The other was Arkansas but Arkansas competes with Miss State to be the Vandy of the SEC West.
I mean they beat us. At the end of the day, the buck stops there. That’s it.You have a chance to rub it in Bama's noses and you don't want to use it? I talked smack in 2014 when we beat Iowa (who beat Ohio State) and they lost to Ohio State.

Football isn’t transitive, so you can’t say we’d beat Michigan or even lose to them. But Bama beat us, and everyone else they played in our conference.
You absolutely can’t. It was proven that you can’t just last weekend.Sure you can, post season matters. Look at NCAA Basketball. No one gives a darn if you were #2 in regular season rankings, it matters how far you go in the post season.
Also, for Football to really be fair, teams should play at least two games (home and away). Home field advantage is a thing.
