This is in the UT Football forum as opposed to the NCAA forum because you think he may come here?

Wow!!!

What a bonehead move on his part...it's not like players don't know this stuff is off limits now

I think that the school declared him ineligible concurrently with asking the NCAA to reinstate him. If the NCAA green lights it, then Dareus can play without Bama having to worry about forfeiting games down the road.

The NCAA is "requesting" permission from UGA to investigate UGA in regards to Agent-Gate.

considering there already on probation from the text book case, I'd like to see them get reamed

So am I the only one who doesn't like the NCAA sniffing around?

I don't care if it's happening to teams I hate, I just don't feel comfortable about this.

This is 100% correct.

The fact that this party took place in the offseason means that the school carries no liability in this.

Mark Ingram being investigated too?

The University of Alabama says Ingram is on the up and up. The Compliance Department tells us, "Mark asked if he could visit Joe Haden at his home in Baltimore. We checked with the NCAA and they approved this trip as long as Mark provided receipts for his expenses."

It's unclear whether those receipts were submitted, but clearly the NCAA has unanswered questions.

Not really an Alabama comment, but a general comment on this investigation. The more players that are implicated, my guess is that the lighter the punishment will be. If it was a handfull of All Americans scattered among several schools, then I could see some serious penalties for those players. If it turns out to be dozens of guys, I just don't see the hammer coming down.

Agent had a party, players went from all over. Austin and Little are done, but no other major infractions for UNC. UF, SCar, and Bama will lose players as well, Bama may lose up to five or more, and possibly a few other schools as well.

Also word is spreading that Lane Kiffin, believe it or not, and his band of morons at SoCal are the ones turning everyone in. Axes to grind in the SEC and wanting to get the focus off of him in a desperate attempt to gain back some recruiting steam.
Are you sure?

I got this on an unc insiders board on scout so TIFWIW.
Thanks for identifying the source of the speculation. I'm not knowledgeable about the worth of the speculation about the other schools players, but the part saying "Bama will lose players as well, Bama may lose up to five or more" AWJS.
