Alabama is ...

A national title-worthy defense doesn't give up 39 points to that team. I don't care how good their QB is. They went 6-6.

Again rivalry game anything can happen. Look at us and alabama or florida this year. Everyone had us losing big to them and it didn't happen.

We used ball control football and Monte Kiffin to hold them in check. We didn't go buck wild on their defenses.

Texas played against two good defenses all season, OU and Nebraska. They did next to nothing against both. With Saban & Co. having a month to prepare, they'll be lucky to score 17 against Alabama.

I'll be pulling for the Horns but I agree with you. This potentially could be a vicious Bama beat down. The kind of beat down you might see on cartoons, just silly, grab you by the ankles and swing you into a tree, over and over type of beating.

My point is rivalry games are unpredictable we all know this so you have to take that into account when looking at texas and texas a&m.

Colorado crapped their pants against Texas when they were rolling in the first half.

Texas A&M dominated Texas's defense.

Nebraska was a bad kick out of bounds away from beating them.

Mack Brown is a bad coach, while Nick Saban is perhaps the best coach in the country.

Oh yeah. Alabama rolls, big time.

I love how Texas can maintain their ranking when playing a 21 and 13 point underdog and winning both this games late in the 4th quarter.

No way no how should Texas be playing in the BCS game. TCU and Cincinnati should both be protesting.

Once again the BCS system is a bust. Only sport in America without a playoff!!!!

TCU maybe . . . but Cincy would look a little silly complaining about Texas' lack of style points on the day they won a game due to a botched PAT.

TCU has a legit complaint... they've played better than TX all year and would probably give Bama a better game.

Bama will win and solidify the fact tat the SEC is the superior conference in the BCS with 6 BCS championships in 11 years.

BCS relies far too heavily on Sagarin and other beyond meaningless computer rankings. I say if there won't be a playoff (which I am in favor of), abolish the computer rankings component of the system.

Absolutely not. The computers, while they have no 'eye' test and coming up with a perfect set of data is impossible, is the only objective way to rank teams.

There are likely a significant portion of voters on both human polls on the BCS that have probably never seen more than highlights of a third of the teams they're voting for.

As long as there is a system like the BCS around, we need a computer poll to keep things objective.

So that it can purely be a popularity contest? Let's turn it into a 100% farce?
