I think he's a good poster and never see many people have any kind of problem with him. Usually the only people I see who do are the rednecks that say stuff like "why are you even here? Doesn't Bama have their own site?"

This board is about the most tolerant of opposing fans than any I’ve ever seen. In most cases, opposing fans must be careful not to attack the board’s program or risk being banned. There is no 1st Amendment with respect to a fansite board.

@Freak has made the decision to tolerate most opposing fans’ comments. So, one cost of posting at VN is tolerating opposing fans who seem driven to spend the time defending a program on an opposing fan board. I don’t get the motivation someone has to do that, but whatever. And VN is a fun board overall, so I suppose it’s worth the annoyance.

FYI: bamawriter RARELY cedes a SINGLE negative about the Gumps or lil Nicky. It’s a waste of time to discuss virtually anything with him that doesn’t involve Bammer greatness.

I have no problem with reasonable confrontation with opposing viewpoints on a constructive basis. What was considered a light hearted jab at the Gumps immediately turned to riducule and sarcasm of the 1967 NC team at Tennessee. Its that way this this guy anything and everything that isnt bowing to the feet of alabama. This wasnt the first time Ive had to deal with his pettiness. If hes ever posted anything worthwhile regarding alabama's program other than pounding his chest, let me know what it is. Enjoy

I agree. There are a couple of posters who are fun to engage (ironically, mostly Gators) but with a few notable exceptions, Bammers and uga fans are annoying and kinda like Labradors - constantly needing affirmation of how great they are.

Hey, they are as legit as some of their claimed titles. Staying in is already driving me crazy, my hate of all things bama is overwhelming me. One of life's focus is to make a snarky remark to a bama fan every day. We on the TN/Al border have to fight the good fight.

Well, there is one thing that Universities/ Colleges do when a team wins a national championship is celebrate it. Oddly, there is no mention of a '67 NC in the '68 media guide, gameday programs, etc....that I can find. Maybe someone can find a mention of the NC from '68.

I followed the Vols in 1967 and no one really considered it a NC season BUT one source did name them national Champions. It was based on the regular season. Everyone felt Tennessee was an outstanding team in 1967. They beat Bamas & Ken Stabler’s ass in Birmingham with the 3rd team QB Bubba Wyche playing. Both Warren & Fulton were out due to injury.
