Well that just sucks.

IMO the other 2 won't be back, just a guess though. Sounds like there punishments are more severe.

That's chicken ****. We all know Alabama is a win-at-all-costs operation. Moral stand? Pffft

Agreed. Grant really sent a message to Steele by making him miss one game.

Basically I'm just upset we won't have that advantage.

Oh well, a win against them at full strength looks better anyway. Go Vols! Get it done

Figured it wouldn't last long. Grant has two home games coming up against UT and Fla. He can't afford to lose both and still make the tourney. I'm betting all 4 will be back by the time UT comes calling Sat. That game and the Candy game at home is our two toughest ones left IMO.

They won't let us come in and beat them outmanned. Will just make the "W" sweeter when we win (I hope).

Lots of speculation on discipline here, especially since nobody here even knows what they were suspended for.

the fact that they werent even allowed to ride with the team back to bama would lead one to believe it had to be something pretty serious. i think many just see it ironic that he was making a big deal about discipline, and holding the accountable as people and not athletes first, and then he lifts the suspension after one game.

in all honesty, it almost appears like he thought he could beat lsu without them, wanted to make the statement to his players, then when they lost realized if they didnt come back the ncaa was going out the window.

JMHO

Seriously? If he wanted to do that why wouldn't he lift the suspension on the other two as well?

Some of you guys act like the other programs in the SEC are cartoon villains, it's pretty sad.

i said it makes it appear not it definitely was...

and if that is the case, it would be completely obvious that it wasnt a harsh punishment at all. obviously mitchell did something bad, he was first suspended about a week prior, and is still suspended. green surprises me as i always thought he seemed to be a pretty good kid.

personally, i think grant should reveal some information as to what occured. i thinkg the alabama fans especially deserve to have some sort of idea as to what happened. he doesnt have to throw anyone under the bus, but atleast acknowledge what it has to do with, grades, failed drug test etc...

But they are aren't they? Am I right?

Bama and UK essentially have waxed mustaches.

He can't because of privacy laws.

Maybe if Grant would say what they were suspended for there wouldn't be any speculation here or anywhere else. It's his choice to keep it private, but all it does is make people speculate.

Anthony Grant probably doesn't care what people think about it, nor should he.

That never keeps a journalist from digging enough to find out what it is about. Maybe Cecil Hurt needs some more inside sources. There is usually enough talk where it'll get out.

Most people are going to speculate that they failed a drug test or got caught smoking the ganja.

That's not true. Pearl gave details to new years suspensions, byu gave details on Davis suspension, Uconn gave details on boatright suspension, we gave details on Goldens suspension.

I'm sure there's 100 more I'm missing.

Lsu gave details on Matthieu suspension, uga gave details on suspended rb this year....

Do I need to continue?
