All week on AL radio the talk was Barnett or Bateman starting and they'd be the only 2 to see the fueled. In the meantime, it's been said how Hurts has looked like the best QB. This was a calculated move by Saban to not tip his hand. There's no way he wasn't going to play.

I wonder if Saban called a "vanilla" gameplan. Or did Saban have his team pumped, primed and ready to play at full steam like a championship level coach should? I think we have our answer.

USC message boards in meltdown mode...they are kinda right though...they have great athletes but are getting shoved around..coaching

I want to see all those sunshine fluffers come back and talk about how this team had all off season to chew on that bowl game loss and how it put a chip on their shoulders to come back and play the defending national champs like they've never played before.

USC fans calling out all west coast players as soft :)

Year after year we say this. For awhile it was a problem with depth because of sanctions. Now it's coaching. Truth be told I think the California players they recruit lack toughness and discipline. There are exceptions, but when they play physical teams like Stanford and Notre Dame ( and now Alabama) they get pushed around, and when they get behind they tend to melt down.

So how many of you who actually thought LSU had a chance of challenging Bama in the west feel the same way now? Bama is making USC look like a middle school team.

USC has been over hyped for the past few years. Yes, bama is really really good, but USC isn't as good a team as everyone says they are

A lot of that is coaching. I don't know how Clay Helton got the job. This hire will screw them for years to come.
