Alabama won the SEC Spring meetings

I read an article about the fines and did not see anywhere that stated that Bama or any other SEC team got the $ from fans storming the field. Appears the $ go to the SEC office.

Presently, fines for storming the field go to the conference, yes? This is how it should be for any restrictions/fines imposed by the conference.

If Saban/Bama are weary of hometown fans storming their fields when their team finally defeats Bama, there are two choices, 1. Wait it out. Lose away games often enough, and the opponent’s fans won’t storm their field. 2. Forfeit. Don’t play. Stay home, whiners.

Now, if visiting fans storm the home team’s field after a victory, then some money can change hands. Bama or any other host SEC member is due coin. Acceptable.

But, Bama cannot arrogantly proclaim themselves rulers of the collegiate gridiron, whip almost everyone’s azzes year after year, and then mewl and puke about celebrations of their rare defeats. They don’t deserve a penny for losing or the consequences that follow.

I would be quite happy for us to write a big check to UGA after an undefeated Tennessee beats an undefeated Georgia in Neyland this November. Another scene like we had vs Bama last season is worth it in recruiting.
In the “For” section of the check we can write “for that ass whooping we just gave you :)

I think all road team fans should storm Bryant-Denny, Williams-Bryce and Ben Hill Griffin stadium! Maybe go Krogering too.

Just make sure and false flag it by wearing gear for the home team. See, we could send a few hundred fans to Bryant Denny this fall wearing Bama gear. In the unlikely event 😉 we lose, storm the field to celebrate a Bama „victory“ and at least make Bama pay 100k to Tn😂😂😂
(Of course, I speak in jest)

Tennessee is one of the schools that voted against a 9 game conference schedule. I'm not getting the point or frustration from the decision
My frustration with an 8 vs a 9 is that with the 8 game that mean our OOC is 1 Power 5 team and then 3 little sisters of mercy/directional misfits/Div 1A teams. Its frustrating to shell out money and time for hotel, food, etc.. to see us play a team that I wouldnt go see if they were in my same town. I'll take the 9 games even if that extra game was Mizz, SC, or whomever is in last place over Austin Peay, UTM, Citidel, or Samford. Look at the 3 this year - AP, UT San Antonio, and Uconn. 3 teams that wont see even a honorable mention in the rankings.

It’s nice that now Alabama can “win” the offseason while we’ll whip they’re butts on the field this Fall. How things change!

Saban didn’t want the 9 game schedule proposed.

And they’ll get the money if any team storms the field after beating them again.

I think they had a damn good week in Destin.
There won’t be a reason to storm the field against Bama moving forward because beating them is going to become routine and expected.

Tennessee is also one of the schools that voted against the 9 game conference schedule format.

The only schools that voted in favor of it were Florida, Georgia, LSU, Texas A&M, and Missouri.
