I hope everyone chills out now...Players still want to play for UT they just don't want to rush into such a decision and take it too lightly.

I just hope we recruit some tall Qb's in the years to come . Bray will be fine but dang just about every OL we get is 6'6".

What a wonderful problem to have.

I think Posey has the makeup to just as easily slide inside and be a guard in college.

Agreed...and i've heard people say the same about Kerbyson...

How bada** would this lineup be...

T: James / Clear
T: Richardson / Pair
G: Posey / Schoefield
G: Kerbyson / Fulton
C: Stone / Luatua

Not a far fetched 2-deep projection for 2012 huh?

I know, I know...you think Clear is Bama's to lose

Would be a nice line, no doubt

Pretty far fetched if you don't think Schofield will not be a starter in 2012. D Thomas will be a SR in 12 with 2 years as a starter.

If your point is about depth and talent though... I would agree completely. The guys you mentioned plus Thomas and even Hood and Revis with continued development will turn a weakness into a strength.

you forgot Dallas Thomas and Schofield. they will still be here in '12 and are both starters now. Thomas would be a Sr. and Schofield would be a Jr.

Yep...need a D line to go with it though..

Walls, Hughes, and Bohannon will be seniors. Jacques and Miller will be juniors. The starters should be very solid.

At least Dooley is recruiting to fill needs. That is always a plus. Welcome to the Volunteer Nation Mr. Posey :hi:

Yeah my point was more about depth and talent being replenished...I'd be comfortable with any arrangement of that 2-deep...and yeah I totally forgot about Thomas

I've got Schoefield in there...but I did whiff on it by forgetting Thomas

Not that position players, speed, playmakers etc. are not important but if we place 3-4 more impressively offered linemen in this class with Posey I personally think it will be the key to digging ourselves out of this .500 or worse wasteland we've been driven into.

The lines will be able to compete on both sides of the ball, and that would be a welcome change.

I think the "skill" groundwork has been laid with the last 2 classes...now the key to our resurgence lies with this upcoming class and our ability to load up with high quality linemen on each side of the ball....

If we can do that then I'll be expecting for a serious run in 2012...if not then I'll be expecting people to call for Dooley's head by then

Actually, it was because he got in trouble with the law. I forget what he did exactly, but he was arrested and became a non-factor.

GBO!!!!!!

That happened way after we dropped. We asked Jose to drop to about 330 but he shot up to about 380.
