CCM is playing percentages...

There's a decent chance stokes leaves
A chance a player wants to transfer at years end
A chance someone gets into trouble and is dismissed

All of these things would result in having that 5th scholarship, all CCM is doing is being prepared ahead of time for one of these things to happen

That's what I meant by being ready just in case earlier....doesn't necessarily mean there will be one but I think there will be too....I have heard reese mentioned several times and if zo is already planning on pushing him that is pitiful.

My bet (hope) is he told all the 2011 kids that they were on year to year deals and he'd be working to recruit better players every year they were at Tennessee. Based on Reese's other offers, he probably should have been saying the same thing to him.

Heck, look at the 2014 PGs being recruited and you'll see Travon Landry being recruited over already.

I have no problems with guys being recruited over or told another situation may be better suited for them but the first official practice of his freshman yr hasn't even taken place yet.

Well, to be fair, no one knows what the status is of any of these guys. We all just speculate. No one is reporting for fact, or even loose rumor for that matter, that CCM is pushing Reese out.

Reese being mentioned is by message borders, not by Martin or his staff, or even the media that covers the team.

I'm sure Zo isn't pushing anyone out the door, things have a way of sorting themselves out.

I agree with you I think it will probably be clear by mid-point of the SEC schedule. Much like last year when Washpun went from backup minutes to never taking off his warm ups.

Exactly, most realized washpun was probably gone by mid season. By mid season we will probably have a good idea about another player or two on this roster.

If it is Reese, there won't be any indicator such as playing time, as he is out for the year.

I personally don't think Reese is the one that will go if CCM is forced to part ways with anyone. But you never can tell.
