No. I don't think he'll ever breakout

I know one week doesn't mean anything but he got off to a good start. I hate seeing guys with a lot of potential underachieve. I hope his problems were due to the injuries and not because he didn't meet expectations.

I see no reason for him not too, and he is really hitting it right now.

This is the year for Kila too.

The biggest reaon for him not to is because he sucks and has sucked for a while now.

Is this the year he breaks out?

Not as long as he is with the Royals. Royals players tend to not break out until they have left the Royals (Dye, Damon, Beltran).

On the plus side, I expect a big year from DeJesus (mostly because he is no longer with the Royals).

Beltran was very good with the royals

After becoming the minor league player of the year it's been one injury after another. I think it was a dumb move to move him from third base to the outfield. If he doesn't win and play in at least 120 games this year it's time to cut bait.

He's a lot like Nancy Drew in that case, with the potential and injuries.

If the Royals continue their slide (which, unfortunately, is probable), they will begin shopping Gordon around come the middle of the month.

I highly doubt that.

I highly hope they don't; however, that is the Royals' MO. IIRC, it is a contract year for Gordon. If he ends the season with a .330 or higher average, he will be commanding more money than the Royals will want to give him (note: I did not say more money than the Royals have).

He was obviously not going to stay that high, yet saying he sucks is just dumb. His LD and K rate are both down. He will be having more swipes with Doug Sisson. I'm thinking Corey Koskie with improved numbers. It is too early to write him off just as it was too early to proclaim him a star. I think no one is doubting this is in a sense, his breakout season.
