His Babip is still at .350 which is still very high. His average will in all likelihood decline as a result of the high Babip and then all you are left with is a .250 hitter that doesn't hit for power. He is also hitting fewer line drives that he was last year which often means the Babip should be even lower than last years .254 mark. I predict a hole lot of suck out of Mr. Gordon for the rest of 2011.

Well, 420AB's later and he is still over .300 (barely). He needs to get the K's down but I think he's been better than expected at this point.

I still have him on my fantasy team and he just had his best week of the season.

I don't know if he fits the mold because he's 27 and he's perennially sucked outside of maybe 2008, but you could say he's a comeback POTY candidate.

'08 wasn't exactly a coming to fruition year either, though, .260 with 16 homers. I don't know that you can come back when you've never been.
