This is for their base. It raises money. It stokes fear, which is the hallmark of Trump's GOP. It feeds stereotypes, which are his bread and butter. It trades policy discussion for identity politics and loon conspiracy theories.

Good premise but the non-stop coverage by CNN and MSNBC make that impossible. If the leftist media were not ordered to do so you would not even know her name. The only questions are who controls the leftist media and why do they want her ideas promoted?
