Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

Trump is an egomaniacal, pompous, self serving prick. He loves to hear himself talk. He's a despicable person, so I really don't understand the admiration. All of that said, it doesn't make him a horrible President. He's done nothing that really harms the country. But I wouldn't really call him a "true leader". A true leader unites, and nothing about Trump screams unity. There is no compromise. What the left won't acknowledge is that Obama was the same. He did more to divide than unite. I don't remember the last time our country had a true leader. Maybe Reagan? Maybe even further back than that.

This is said better than I could of done. In my opinion you would have to go back to FDR.

You only see the elephant. You ignore the rest of the circus going on all around you.

Obama was in no way the same.
Some found his determination to unite as divisive. Integration was divisive for some, unifying for others.
Some find Trump's determination to divide as unifying. Segregation was unifying for some, divisive for others.

Complete opposites but with some resulting similarities. All about objective and intent.

It's hard to unite when the DIMs and Media start de-legitimizing your Presidency before you even get into office. Trump is a Bar Room Brawler and takes things head on. I love that.

I'll let other people argue this. I've stated my opinion. We obviously don't see Obama the same. If his intentions were to unite, he went about it in an odd way. "Elections have consequences". He also failed miserably if that was his intent.

To be fair the only thing he really succeeded at is a complete failure.

Everyone likes to say FDR was great but he wasn't. His policies prolonged the Great Depression by using Price Controls and the so called New Deal. FDR was a far left President during his time.

Doesn’t change the fact he united the population. I don’t disagree with you on the Great Depression.

Fair enough. I do appreciate your consistent effort.

FDR wasn't the greatest captain. He allowed infighting and turf wars within our military and within the allied powers to come within a hairs breath of losing the war in Europe. Then he gave away the farm to Stalin.

We(allied powers) were never losing the war in Europe after we(US) entered the war.

Germany was stretched to thin. We should have finished the Soviet Union after Germany was toast.

Yeah, we came damn close to getting kicked out of North Africa and if Hitler would have listened and deployed the reserve panzer divisions to Normandy we might have been thrown back into the sea there as well. Look into it.

We were green when we first entered North Africa. Once Patton took hold it was game over in North Africa. Also, there was deception on the part of the allies when d-day happened.

There was that whole pesky Pacific Theater of Operations thing still going on for a few more months though.
