Let me first say that that the representative from Florida did was wrong. But what I find funny is AOC proclaiming she will not be a victim while claiming victimhood status during her speech. He deserved some of what he got but when he apologized it should have been let go. She used the situation to gain some political points which isn't surprising.
As to the issues many have with her. Mine are mainly due to her demeanor and mannerisms. She comes across somewhat childlike in a lot of situations. When it's well rehearsed and stays on expected track she typically sounds ok, but when she isn't prepared or the discourse takes a turn she hasn't anticipated she comes off a little like a child attempting to sit with the grown ups and talk shop so to speak. Maybe that's just her inexperience I don't know. Just my observation.
