Beto was getting a DUI and bouncing around between odd jobs before getting into El Paso city government, then the US House. This is after he was educated at an elite boarding school in the DC area and went to Columbia. He honestly seems like a spoiled rich kid who was just dicking around, then decided he wanted to be a politician. Sounds about right.
