All the bad breaks at the exact right time. They just weren't supposed to win. No way they beat MSU next week. 0-3. Makes you wonder if it is meant for ND to make a come back.

Can see the finish line from here... Just need a couple more seasons of suckitude from the Irish, then NBC slashes their contract to peanuts and knocks them to some obscure cable channel. Then the baseless hype season after season can calm down a bit.

They'll beat MSU, I think. I could see 9-3 happening because their schedule is so favorable.

If they didn't when they only won 2-3 games that season, why would they now?

NBC is not going to get any other sort of college television deal or games with the other conferences, cutting the one tie it actually has to college football would just lose them even more money

They have finally po'd TD Jesus. Wouldn't bother me if they didn't win another game ever. They'll still rake in the money, though.

They'll get beat by MSU...in another heartbreaker. They just can't seem to win the close ones. I'm thinking 8-4 (losses to Mich State and Stanford).

I'm talking consistent losing to the point where ND ratings tumble regularly.

they'd likely have to go like 1-3 wins for like 5 or 6 straight seasons then

that's asking the whole cities of New York City, Chicago, and Indianapolis (among other markets) to dry up and lose all interest in the team

Fine by me. sportscenter might actually have to lead with teams that are actually good. The horror!

MSU is good and will win by at least 10 points. USC will beat ND too. No way they beat STandford. So that's 5 losses not even counting if they slip up again. ND is just a 6-8 win team. They have been for several years.

(4-8) Right now ND is not better than Michigan State,Pittsburgh,Air Force,USC,Maryland, or Stanford.

I went back and watched the latter half of the game, and have come to the conclusion that ND's secondary is absolutely horrid. Substitute any decent defense in for Notre Dame's garbage, and Robinson easily throws 7+ INT's.

And now all the good teams know it and will exploit it. I don't think it's possible to recruit a good overall roster to ND anymore. Weis had the offense stacked but the D nerver had players. Seems like the same with Kelly.

ND fans must be the most disappointed fan base ever. This has happened to them several years in a row.

I don't think they know why it's happening. Every fan base should keep up with what's going on nationally.

Who's to say right now. Usc has much more talent paper, and a team on a postseason ban can go out like they've got nothing to lose any given week and curb stomp somebody.

I'm getting tired of hearing all the puffing up of the ND/Michigan game and Denard Robinson.

No, that game is not one of the greatest in college football history.

No, Denard Robinson is not a good QB. He completed less than half of his passes and had 3 picks. From what I saw, his basic strategy is throwing the ball up for grabs deep downfield and hoping for the best. If he had faced a defense that isn't complete garbage, he would have had even more picks.

And, no, Denard Robinson should not be in the talk about the Hypesman Trophy.
