All ive heard all year is that Nico would of made us go 10-2

I have no faith in Tim banks or Martinez. 8-4 losses to Florida Bama Georgia and Oklahoma
I don’t see a loss to UF at home next year, which is why my prediction (guess at this point) is 9-3.

I think we have at least a shot at either OK on the road or Bama at home, making 10-2 my stretch goal. UGA on the road will be tough.

If Nico doesn't throw for 450/4/0 in the Citrus Bowl, then we gotta open the 24 season with Merklinger at QB1. Why keep your best QB on the bench?
We need to have a vote at the end of the year for the funniest post, this would be a prime candidate.

8-4 January, 9-3 after the spring game, 10-2 after campus arrivals, 11-1 mid camp, 12-0 the night before Nooga. Then 6-6/5-7 after losing to another forgettable UF and all is restored. It's the Vol Nation way.
Nico will never lose to Florida!

….. remind me again why we “all” think Nico is going to be all that. We really have no clue at this point.
Two obvious reasons.
#1 He was 5* outta HS
#2 He was the backup on a "bad" team
... those 2 benchmarks of generational greatness have place Joe Montanas and Tom Bradys all over college football benches. 😉

IMO, next year’s team will be better than this year’s. If that translates to wins is difficult to say, schedules are tougher now. They can be a better team and lose more games.

If you're losing, nobody cares how good you think you are, including your own fans.

Wouldn't count on that. Would expect Nico to get more reps in this game than he has combined the entire year. There's no guarantee Milton even plays. I don't think he sits it out, but you never know. Nico will play early and often. Nico is going to get lots of reps in practice with the ones in bowl practice to Jumpstart his development for next season. Nico gets 6+ series!.

Milton knows this game doesn't help or hurt his NFL stock. It will be the Combines, Interviews and Senior Bowl that will determine if or when he gets drafted. Still doubt he goes before the 6th round, but obviously the combine will dictate that.
most on here thought he would play most of the Vandy game too.

Coach is loyal almost to a fault. I think he keeps Milton in to show the NFL how he can play.

No one knows for sure unless you are an insider with the coaching staff. You sound as if you are an insider.

Losing Dee will hurt, he had a knack for flipping the field very quickly.

Experienced TEs and RBs will be missed, but hoping our next men up can get the job done enough to not notice much of a drop.

Otherwise, I’m feeling pretty good with where we are currently and our potential to improve our situation even more between now and August.

We went 8-4 this year with the same o-line behind a decent QB. Take away the screwup that was Florida, and we’re 9-3. I don’t think Nico would have done much better, so your point is mute.
Hope you’re not teaching our youth. Moot not mute

Imo, Milton plays the whole game. I dont think he should, but I believe he will if he chooses to play.

I can at least understand why Banks wasn't fired, but keeping Martinez is a real head scratcher to me. The defense isn't going to be any better next season.

Let's hope our offense can make up for our defensive deficiencies.

If most of the "negas" are worried about how badly the Vols play on the road,I guess they didn't watch us beat down LSU at red stick ,LA. in 22.Just saying.

Did beating LSU on the road in 2022, have any effect on our road performances in 2023?

We might have went 9 and 3 with Nico and actually scored enough in the second half to beat Bama. Against Florida, Missouri, and Georgia, our defense want ever going to get us enough stops to win IMO

I’m shocked folks took this seriously. Seemed like blue font shouldn’t have been necessary.
