How far North are you Joe? I live in the Chattanooga area. Carters Lake around Chatsworth has some. Blue Ridge Lake is probably the best in Georgia for them.
I'm in the northeastern part close to the South and North Carolina borders where I am. I'll have to look into blue ridge. If this virus stuff will end, I'm going up home to Kentucky to fish with my dad for them.

Why would anyone introduce spotted bass into waters with a mature and healthy smallie population?

Yeah boy...I don't tempt fate anymore and at the very least start heading back well before siren time. Depending on where you are you can stay out near the shore even with 1 gen turning. I've never even tried to fish with 2 going.

Ive tried to fish with one gen running, never have much luck from the bank, you need to be drifting.

I've never drifted. As I understand it that's a great way to fish (particularly for big browns I've been told) and you can cover a lot of water obviously. I must admit I do like the relaxed and intimate wading setting but the idea of a float does intrigue me.

I love the tailwaters but its easy to lose track of time.

That said, only time I was horrified was on the Housatonic in CT (don't tell anyone I'm from there) and popped a big brown with a streamer.

Long story short I took a few steps and went over into a hole where I couldn't tell what was bottom and what was up. Probably was about 5 seconds total but seemed like an hour. And yes, I lost the fish.
Happened to me first time on the Gunpowder in Maryland

It’s been years since I fished Miller’s island but I don’t recall hearing a siren. Thought they would let just a little bit out as a heads up and you start heading in.

When I moved from TN I sold my drift boat. Pained me to do it but I never used it. Came in handy even when they weren’t generating in order to access water that’s inaccessible for private property. Might have to walk it in some spots but was well worth it. If you really get bothered w it can just relax until the generators kick back on.

I'm working on finding them!
They are edible (tasty, even), and GDNR wants every one of these removed (killed). No season, no limits, kill (and eat) all that you catch. The presence of northern snakehead in a Gwinnett pond was attributed to someone who brought the fish into the US for eating.

I saw the statement from the DNR, but I haven't heard of any being up my way yet.

One thing I read was put a $100 bill on a rock out of the water between you and the bank. When the water starts coming up you can keep fishing and lose $100 or get out of there.

I've ordered from FishUSA, but it's been a few years ago. I didn't have any issues, man.
