All things STOCKS

She's lost all the gains of 2021 and I believe I read she's eating into 2020 profits rapidly as well.
As we speak, ARKK is down 14.4% for 2021 and is off 33.3% from the high.

If you purchased in late November and held, you're back to break even after being up almost 50% at one point (you would have held from 107 to 160, now back to 107). lol

That's an interesting opinion given the fact you questioned a post that was forward looking.
I didn't reply to a specific post, though.

Down 26% and I don't think it's funny.

I would have bought several securities in the last week or 2 had I not kept moving my buy limit prices lower. I’m keeping ISRG fairly tight and TSLA about 20% below. ARKs are set at about 50% below... I’ve done a 180. Seems more like a cult than anything right now. CCL is getting back in range, but I’m having second thoughts about owning that one. I don’t have a buy set for Martin-Marietta (MLM) but I might move on that one. Infrastructure needs attention and Ds and Rs should come together on addressing it.

A lot of the trading names ran up well into new highs. I think they have a lot of downside left before this cycle bottoms. But the virus news keeps getting better which fuels rising prices.

Doubt that the followers are doing the selling. The pieces are being dismantled, maybe by institutions and firms. Arbitrageurs are keeping the NAV in line for the funds.
Her diehard fanboys will be the last to sell. They don't get scared out...they get worn out. They've bought between about 100-160 and many won't sell until it gets into the 40s or 50s "so they don't lose it all."

My apologies. I read your statement as a continuation of your question three posts earlier since your observation came immediately after that poster replied to you. I didn't realize you had shifted gears that quickly.

We're in for the long haul.
I just hope you've been buying all the way up over a period of years, or bought a big slug at much lower prices. A lot of people investing in those things committed significant chunks of their capital at triple digit prices.

Not a huge chunk of capital, but I am down 25%.

Your money? What did you buy? Think this is a bottom?
I bought BABA and COST today, but waaay less $.

I had a decent amount (over 40% of portfolio) in cash at beginning of week. Bought big yesterday and today.

What I've bought the past 2 days.

BABA
CRM
ZM
SQ
PYPL
TDOC
AMD
NEE
PLTR
HQY
TSCO
CLOV

It doesnt feel like a bottom yet but there's prolly been a little too much bloodshed in certain sectors.

I always buy too early in these kinds of market moods. I am forcing myself arbitrarily to wait until the end of the quarter.

I did pick up a little GEVO
