Open workouts aren't the problem, it's the timing. If this were after October 12th, then I wouldn't be asking.

I don't know the specific rules. I thought, generally, the practices couldn't be organized and attended by coaches or assistant coaches.

I don't know the rules re: pictures/videos of workouts or coach's ability to comment on the workouts.

They can currently work with small groups of players at a time.

They've already been working out, why does October 12th matter? That's for practices not workouts...

I'm sure the compliance dept. is all over this. We'd have to have an inept athletics dept. for this to have gone as far as it's gone if it's breaking the rules. JMO.

Quinn replied to someone on twitter that it legitimate and that he'll have a story later this week on how UT is doing it.

Not a problem if don't serve cheeseburgers to high school juniors from your home after the workouts and lie about to NCAA investigators.
