This summer my wife and I enrolled our daughter in math tutoring for over $300 a month along with other summer camp commitments. We are unsatisfied with the quality of the education and the amount of transparency in the school. We left public school in 2021, so this is a charter school. There are a lot of foreign kids in the school. I'm ok with that for the assurance it is supposed to be a quality education which means I don't want a lot of time spent on BS social issues. A couple of months into school I got a sense that there was no morning anthem or pledge of allegiance so I asked the principal. Her response was "we had been so busy getting running that we hadn't thought about it." I knew this was a cop-out but I let it go. We're going to give the school one more year before we make another assessment if it's better to sacrifice to enroll in the right private school.

The Grand Jury Report on 'Obstructionist' Loudoun County Public Schools Is Brutal

A special grand jury report on the conduct of Loudoun County Public Schools relating to their handling of and reaction to the sexual assault of a student at Broad Run High School by an alleged assailant — who was accused of a similar previous assault when attending Stone Bridge High School — was released on Monday. The grand jury did not hold back in its criticism of school and district authorities, and noted that it would have considered an indictment against the LCPS division counsel if statute's existed to allow charges.

In addition to calling out Loudoun County Public Schools for weak leadership, misplaced priorities, attempts to tamper with witness testimony, and failing to fully address issues that arise within the LCPS community, the grand jury also issued several recommendations to deal with some of the problems their deliberations identified.

The conclusion of the grand jury's report summarizes some of the issues within LCPS:

Well, Greg Youngkin, his AG and Lt. Gov have a task before them now.
On a macro scale, we'd eliminate future Russian hoaxes and the like by applying libel/defamation laws to congress and appointees.

My kids have always gone to public school (we always moved to the ‘best’ zoned).. and it has worked really well for my son, who is incredibly intelligent.. my daughter however, had learning disabilities and it has been a nightmare from the beginning.. public school, private school, doesn’t matter.. private does not have the resources either.. we have mainly supplemented with private tutoring and a whole lot of mom tutoring, too…occupational therapy, speech therapy etc etc…they graduate this year.. you always question if you did the right or ‘best’ thing

If you did your best trying to equip them as good people, you did right, LV.

That, I feel a little more confident in 😂 now we are tackling cleaning your own bathrooms and doing your own laundry lol
I don't know if they still do it high school, but I had Bachelor Survival for a semester; Home Ec for the girls. I already knew how to cook - to the amazement of fellow teen apes - and had general household skills they didn't, but recognized how useful it was.

If they can make edible food on their stove and at least manage to change the sawdust on the floor after flying the coop, something went right.

Loudoun County School Board Terminates Superintendent Who Oversaw Multiple Assaults

A Virginia school board unanimously voted to fire Loudoun County Public Schools Superintendent Scott Ziegler following a report from a special grand jury, the Daily Caller confirmed.

The Loudoun County School Board fired Ziegler “immediately and without cause,” according to a report from Loudoun Now. Ziegler will reportedly receive his $323,000 annual salary in monthly installments for the next year.

Ziegler’s termination came shortly after a special grand jury report concluded that the public school district “dropped the ball” on student safety after multiple sexual assaults took place in the district. LCPS prioritized the interests of district administrators over the safety of students, according to the special grand jury’s findings.

The grand jury was tasked with investigating the school district’s handling of two sexual assaults committed by one student. A male student attacked a girl in a bathroom at one high school and was promptly transferred to a second high school, within the district, where he attacked another girl in an empty classroom.

A principal at a school in Tucson, Arizona provided teachers and staff with a list of students’ preferred pronouns, also specifically highlighting those that were not allowed to be shared with parents.

The email’s subject line reads “CONFIDENTIAL: list of students with students’ pronouns & preferred names different than in Synergy.”

Principal Mark Rubin-Toles of Orange Grove Middle School in Catalina Foothill School District reminded teachers that some information can’t be “shared to families,” writing “Teachers and staff, if you are like me you may have been challenged recently to keep some of our kids’ pronouns and preferred names straight – and to remember what can and can’t be shared to families.”

Before it’s over there’s going to have to be many laws passed to protect kids from the leftist filth groomers.

Wasn't this proven to be taken out of context? the Hitler quote was to show the Left's extremism but they tried to turn it around like the Mom's were using it for themselves.

Lol. Proven? That's how they spun it.

One side is openly fighting to control children. Can't talk about race. Can't say gay. They make all these BS claims about the other side's conspiratorial agenda. Then they drop this Hitler quote about controlling kids, and we're supposed to believe they didn't just out themselves? Freudian slip at best.

There was an apology involved, so do the math on that.

Can't say Gay? I live in Florida and that was never what it said. that was coined to make it sound bad for a better sound bite for the left. There is zero reason for teacher's to be talking about their sexual preference in school. There is zero reason for Teachers to be hiding or transitioning kids without their parents knowledge. Also, that quote was the MOM's trying to prove that is the lefts motto. The left is trying to control the kids and you are blind if you don't recognize it. I won't say dumb, bc you are, from all accounts I have interacted with you or seen you discuss issues, a very intelligent person. But the left is very much trying to control the kids. The right is trying to protect their own kids from the teachers and groomers.

You can technically claim this but the original wording that they pushed for was so intentionally vague that you couldn't talk about homosexuality without fear of breaking the law, students and teachers alike. For example, you couldn't have talked about the gay night club shooting without fear of reprisal. The idea that no students K-12 could even have a discussion about homosexuality is ridiculous. That's what they were pushing for. There are adults in HS classes, and they couldn't have this discussion. You don't need rules that make teachers into criminals to enforce this. Yeah, I don't want these discussions in a 3rd grade class, but you are the ones controlling kids when you try to pass a law like this statewide that prohibits adults and soon-to-be adults from having this kind of discussion. Sometimes kids trust their teachers more than their parents, and it's often for good reason. A teacher who might be the one person standing between that child and suicide couldn't legally have had that discussion. They revised the language after fighting about it, thank God.

How does a Mom "prove" it's the left's motto by saying it with no context and only a standalone quote that is not in reference to anything? Do you know what proofis? You've tripped over the word twice now. You would not be giving the other side this same runway.

If the right were trying to protect kids from groomers, they'd stop going to church.

You can't be serious with this sh*t. Do you believe your own mush brained takes or are you actually trolling? You have developed into an absolute shill for radical progressivism. You honestly think they would've quoted Hitler in a positive way to use it as part of their newsletter??? They have a long track record of insisting that the schools are trying to brainwash and control our kids. You don't think they could possibly have inserted a quote from Hitler in order to highlight the point they've been making since their inception?
