Since its KY, can we replay him missing the Foul Shot on purpose so we could get the winning bucket?? What year was that?

You mean the one where Allan ran over the line before his FT hit the rim? LOL

I need to find a ticket to this game.

Chris Low is touching on the Ellis argument on Basilio's show right now.

I would have thought Ellis would be next, but I know Houston has given alot back to the program since Pearl took over. Probably could suit up and still hit the jumper today. Ellis will be next no doubt. They both were and are great Vols. Saw both and Ellis probably had a better supporting group around him. Houston was basically the only star on the team during his years.

Awesome news. I might've never became a UT basketball fan if it wasn't for Allan.

I endured terrible teams bc he was so awesome.

Congrats, Allan. My fave all-time Vol. Allan was a freshman the same year my dad began covering the Vols b-ball team. I got the privilege of watching Allan countless times live. 2 of my fave moments were when he and Chris Jackson (LSU) went off in the same game. LSU one in a high scoring game and it seems like Houston scored in the 40s and Jackson in the 50s. The best was the missed free throw that Corey Allen tipped in to beat a good UK team.

No matter how many times I asked for Allan's signature, he was always willing to sign with a smile. I probably still have dozens around somewhere.

Houston is the all time leading scorer in UT history and its not even close. NO ONE will ever come close to breaking it. Any argument against this is nonsense. Though he did stab my Pistons in the heart I still love him.

I think we have had this discussion before.

I think I still disagree.
Ellis was a solid rebounder and guarded everyone from Ralph Sampson to Charles Barkley well.

Allan Houston managed to play four years without offering any meaningful defensive resistance to the man he was guarding or ever getting rebound that really mattered.

I always love to ask this question when people try and pass Houston off as an all time SEC great: Since the field was expanded to 64, who is another allegedly great player who played 3 or 4 years at a major conference school and never made a single NCAA appearance?

I have to think that anybody who would pick Houston over Ellis isn't old enough to really remembering see Ellis play. He was phenomenal.
