Group of 5 school does not deserve a playoff spot. 99 times out of 100, that group of 5 school would be in the playoff with an interim coach as the head coach likely bolts for a better job.

They deserve at least a CHANCE to win the natty if they go undefeated. If they're not legit like UCF is, most times they will just be an easy "bye" for the 1st seed. No harm no foul.

Sorry but a group of 5 team will never win a natty. They would always be an 8 seed. So they would have to play the best team in country on the road, then turn around and play the 4/5 ranked teams. In essence, they would have to play Clemson and Ohio State/Bama this year. Yeah no thanks. Blowout city.
