Steele and Releford are banged up apparently and Nick Jacobs is unsure for the game with a mouth infection.

There was a time, many years ago, when we could care less about Bama and basketball. It was all about football. Unfortunately the tide (no pun intended) has shifted where football is no longer our sport to be proud of and the many loyal Vol Fans try and get their jollies by beating Bama in other, less manly sports. Basketball, baseball, track and field, cross country, etc.

Maybe someday we will have a football team to be proud of, and one that can truely kick the sh^t out of Bama. Until then it's all we can do to cheer on our Basketball team.

With this news and the news green and Mitchell are out CCM needs to make sure we don't take these guys lightly. They are going to be THIN, make this a statement on the road, get out to a lead and never look back.

in all honesty i'll be the first to admit i completely expected Grant to bring back mitchell and green for this game. Kudos to Grant for putting the actions of his players above making the ncaa tournament.

there arent many coaches out there that would do that. :salute:

well they definitely wont be back tomorrow, he said he weill talk to them next week to discuss the suspensions.

a loss tomorrow would really hurt their chances, and as someone pointed out on espn, the committee wont look at this like its the loss of an injury, they will put no exception on losses without those guys.

I believe there is a whole portion of these boards, not labeled basketball, devoted to discussion of ( and in your case whining and complaining about) the football program. How's about you put these type comments over there. Thanks.

we should absolutely wear them out inside with maymon, and stokes. no excuse for those 2 not to dominate, and hopefully our guards continue to shoot well, because i guarantee they will be doubling down on our posts leaving our guards with some open looks.

i hope so. i would love to make this a statement game, jump out to a lead and put it on them. if we control this game start to finish and end up winning by 15+, the attention will only be stronger we will get.
