It's great to think into the future but before we crown them champions of the SEC/East for years to come...let's have them do something first like WIN the East....

Overall? Show me a quote that backs this up. We're just glad to get wins over teams that have owned us ever since we came into the conference. I've not seen any Gamecock fan act like we were on the way to SEC dominance or going to start a big win streak over the Vols. Spurrier may own the Vols (and Peyton Manning), but the Gamecocks have a long way to go before that can be said.

I am a member of the Rivals site. I spend little time on the free board where most yahoo's hang out. All I've seen is fans going nuts that maybe FINALLY the time we've waited for is arriving! IF, if South Carolina can continue to compete, the SEC East is going to be a buzzsaw. Spurrier has made chicken salad out of chicken shoo-shoo in Columbia. I hope we can get some more skill players in and see that offense go.

With all due respect to wiser heads than mine, I think most of us would have bet a lot that Visor Boy wouldn't have beaten us this year. That said, I'm certainly not betting anything that he won't be able to make them into a viable team at least for the duration of his tenure there.

No, I'm not on the Cocks' bandwagon. I'm a fan of Visor Boy's coaching skill, even if I don't like him. As for inviting the Cocks to kiss my a**...I refuse to bend over for fear of a spanking. They've certainly administered a tap or 2 in the SEC lately.
