Amateur Hour Continues

It sounds like she's been through rough times and I'm glad she's doing better.

Her comments regarding Trump's involvement are way over the top, though.
Probably so, but she is obviously grateful for getting that law changed and she credits Trump for doing it. I can't blame her for that after all she has been through.

I hope she has a long and happy life, same for you too, Velo.

I didn't know where else to put this, but imagine what ranked-choice voting could do for America? Also, interesting that you could interpret this to mean that conservatives despise D's more than liberals despise R's.

I personally am a big fan of the concept of ranked choice vote

Thanks. I didn't really follow that bill--seems pretty common-sensical to me to allow patients with untreatable diseases to try experimental treatments.

What interest groups oppose it? Big Pharma?

But bioethicists and patients groups told Bloomberg Law they are still concerned the bill cuts the FDA out of any role in making decisions about access to experimental drugs, which could put patients at risk.

Cutting the FDA out of the process “is bad for patients because they won’t benefit from the FDA’s knowledge,” Steve Joffe, a pediatric oncologist and bioethicist at the University of Pennsylvania, told Bloomberg Law in a March 12 email. “In addition, it’s a terrible precedent because it establishes the principle that drugs don’t need to establish safety and efficacy before being administered to patients.”

The bioethicists and patient groups also said the bill would shield drug companies from liability if patients are harmed. But they did praise a provision that would require public reporting of any adverse events experienced by patients.

Wasn't it a ranked choice vote that left the greatest quarterback that's ever played the game in second place to a defensive back from the north? I cannot support that concept do this egregious snub.

The video is at the link. It's actually worse than the quote. She bashes the medical community, then thanks Trump for saving her.

Now, the change in law allowed her to receive treatment in the US (although she could have gone to another country for experimental ones before), but it was the medical community that she bashes which "cured" her.
Venezuela amirite?

Eh?

“We had a deal with [China], and it was very close, we were just finishing it, and you know my whole life is deals. I know when we have them and when we don’t—like with Mexico, we made a deal with Mexico…they know what we have, and if we don’t have intellectual property, theft protections, the opening of China…if we don’t have the opening of China, if we don’t have the things we negotiated, maybe even more than that…and right now, look, we’re getting 25% on $250 billion worth of goods, nobody ever heard of such a thing, it’s massive amount of money. Don’t play, don’t let anyone tell you that China’s not paying for it, China’s paying for it…and we’re not paying for any of it.” (Fact check: false.)

He continued: “Since tariffs have been on, the market has been going through the roof if you know what I’m talking about…Now you have another $325 billion I haven’t taxed yet. IT’S. RIPE. FOR. TAXING. For putting tariffs on…. It‘s been an incredible thing. Am I happy now? Absolutely…. When you say, ‘Are we going to make a deal?’ It’s possible we’re going to make a deal, but I’m also very happy where we are now, we’re taking in a fortune…. There’s no way you can beat the tariffs, there‘s no way you can make that money…[the tariffs] help us in ways that nobody even wants to talk about, that I don’t want to talk about them.”
