It's likely most were. They were a reflection of American society of the era. You know, the one that was pro segregation at the time. Doesn't change that eras numerous accomplishments. Nor should we forget societies flaws of the time.

Because cancel culture is the new boogey man. Any change a company makes is because Lib Twitter forced them to. No other explanation is possible.

Kidding aside, when I saw the app change on my phone, my first thought was Amazon was smirking at me.

Not sure if your sarcasm has any real logic to it.

Nothing was “banned”. Amazon put out a new app icon. Someone pointed out it looked like a smirking Hitler. Doubtful they were offended but actual making fun of it. Amazon execs thought “hey we don’t want people looking at our app and thinking about Hitler.” So they made slight tweak.

There is definitely humor in the whole situation but it’s unrelated to “banning” or “canceling” anything.
