American Ninja Warrior

It's a reference to Blades of Glory, though I don't think I had the quote exactly right.

Ehh, you were originally close enough that I probably should've picked up on the reference but I have to admit that I missed it. I believe it was:

"I see you got fat."
"I see you look like a 15 year old girl, but not the hot kind."

Anyone catch the first round of the Vegas finals?? Some great runs; lots making it through to round 2

Kind of mean, but I'm glad Sam Sann didn't make it. I liked him at first, then the show just pounded him into our heads.

Don't they do that for everybody who has been one of regulars though? I know I've gotten really tired of the ex military guy who yells "I'm coming for you" at Mt. Modoriyama every time he finishes a stage.

IDC if they talk up the big ones a lot but i hate how they try to make it about personalities. It's too forced.

They want the cowboy (Pekus?) to be the top dog so badly

This what I was going to say. If they talk up Flip or The Weather Man, or Kevin Bull I don't mind. But talking up guys that routinely fail early in Vegas, gets old. Sam Sann is obviously strong but his agility is for ish, every time he hits a tramp I feel like he is going to kill himself.

They love Pekus and the idiot Adonis guy.

Ryan Stratus...he grates on my nerves.

Kacy...lol

Mad props to Brent, we discussed it before but i thought he was done. He seemed mentally beat the last 2 years, hell of a comeback.

Right. I wasn't really rooting for Brent but i am happy for him. Kacy is buckling under the pressure and nobody expects her to do better than she did last year. Everyone has expected Brent to outdo his PR and that had to be hard to deal with.

Agreed, you can tell the pressure has gotten to her, if I'm being honest I don't think she is a real threat to beat stage 1 ever. I could see Graff or Martin beating it next year, I think they are head and shoulders above the other girls talent wise.

Who do you guys see as somebody that could actually complete this whole thing? For me it's obviously Marovsky it just looks easy for him, and never seems rattled. I do like Caldiero and Britten if they can beat stage 2, both have crazy upper body strength and thats stages 3 and 4.

Morovsky is the best in the sense that he consistently does awesome but i think the rock climbing pros stand the best chance of actually finishing. He probably belongs in there with them tho. Britten too.

Kevin Bull.

Felt bad for Kacey; nerves clearly got the better of her.

This show's a great excuse for catching up on my pushups and crunches.

Maybe Arnold goes all the way this year. The stay-at-home dad / ninja warrior training has to be getting old. Could be his best chance if he has to go back to regular work.

Just be an uber driver on the side. It's good social interaction with adults, and the driver I talked to today said he works until he makes $100, and that's usually in 4 or 5 hours.

A couple of problems I have with Uber: not sure about demand locally in medium sized city; expense of depreciation and gas for my car take a good bit out of the money; licensing and insurance issues. I guess I could reduce the wear and tear on my car by buying a cheap, old car, but I'm not sure how Uber would feel about having one of their drivers in a 75 Impala with the trunk duck taped closed and smoke pouring out the back like an old steam locomotive.

Just getting my $.02 in more than "adult interaction," though the more lines you have in the water, the more fish you're likely to catch.

Enjoy the final ep of the season.

Your car has to be younger than 10 years old.

Every uber driver I've ever met raves about the gig, and that's probably 20 different people I've asked about it.

Just don't get in a wreck while you're making an Uber run and let your insurance find out about it. They can drop you in a second for operating as a commercial driver with personal insurance.
