Yes, I Love it, Green, Mercedes (4 & 5), Kasi (5), Mimi (4 &5), then Harris. We have size, now let's find the guards that can get them the ball. woohoo.

I'm excited.

As long as there is playing time available Tennessee will get good recruits. Obviously, these kids believe in Holly and staff. Hopefully she gets them to where they want to be. I've never cared much for who a coach can get. What do you plan to do with them? I just hope they are recruiting kids with a purpose to fit some sort of long term plan they have. If not, doesn't matter who you get it'll all look the same.

What's the focus for 2018? Wings mainly?

She kind of reminds you of Cierra Burdick with the nice mid range jumper. Great signee and her team is currently ranked #1 in the nation. Followed them last year they are a tough bunch.:rock::rock::rock::rock:

Only one question remains....with all this talent coming....how can Holly screw it up and run the program into the ground even more than it already is????? Lots of talent, incredible talent.....but it's worthless without great coaching and in that area, we are royally screwed! It's a crime against these kids what they are about to walk into!

What you think they are blind. I guess they can watch basketball games just like we can. Evidently they see something good they keep coming. Stop spewing negativity on the positive pages. I've quit reading the other posts.

We got to keep the faith. I have a feeling that the current group of players may have many players that were overrated in ability. This group also seems to be a finesse group who like to shoot the ball but do not like to fight for rebounds or get physical on defense.
Holly was winning quite a few games before several players graduated. I'm not saying that some of this years disaster is not her fault. When they are making bad play after bad play up to her to correct it in any way she can. She has to come up with a system that these players can do their best in. She has to demand better shot selection and tougher mental play.
I want all these new players to come here. We have a great shot at Ododa and next years roster will be our best in years.

Not sure I agree that the current group was overrated coming out of high school, but I do think there seems to be a sincere effort with the 2017 class and now the early stages of 2018 to find players that are not only talented, but fit well together. It's still on Holly to figure out a system that works on both ends of the court, but I imagine it's a heck of a lot easier when the pieces naturally fit together in a way that I'm not sure they currently do.

that fitting well with other prospects is a criteria for whether you recruit a specific, highly rated individual. If someone is good, you recruit them and hope you, the coach, can make the group cohesive once you get them. No coach is going to stop recruiting a, say, highly ranked forward because of vague concerns that her game might not mesh with that of, say, guards who've already committed. It's a coach's job to build chemistry. Unfortunately, Warlick has shown she's not very good at it--at all.

I give praise where it's due, point blank period....Gotta call it what it is which some fail to do!

People are saying the entire staff needs to go and that isn't truly the case!

Furthermore I am sure the entire staff maybe putting in work on the recruiting trail but Law is very essential to this program especially on the recruiting trail

From ESPN writeup:

Amira Collins, a 6-foot-3 post player at Paul VI Catholic High School (Fairfax, Virginia) and the No. 27 prospect in the espnW HoopGurlz Super 60 for the 2018 class, on Wednesday gave a verbal commitment to coach Holly Warlick and the Lady Vols.

"Tennessee has recruited me since my freshman year, specifically coach Jolette Law," Collins said. "The entire staff made me feel welcome, and Tennessee is what I have always dreamed of in a school."

Great news:

I wonder when was the last time the LVs got such a quality player commitment just as she started her junior year in high school.

Celebration is the expectation of this thread. We all know social media attracts far more negative responses but it is sad when a great news brings out redundant negatives from unhappy "experts."

Is this new commit a post or forward? Does her verbal affect the recruitment of Ododa? How about Dixon from Memphis? 🤔

She is a 4 who is developing range to be able to play as a 3 (in a pinch). I don't think it would affect Ododa or Dixon as I think both of them are 5's (but they list Dixon as a 4). I think the 2018 class we'll be looking for a player at each position.

Mimi (Collins) is at the 4 spot, I think we land DeCosta at the 3 spot (relationship to Westbrook), Ododa or Dixon at the 5 Spot (Ododa's relationship to Kelly Cain and Dixon's relationship to the Hayes family), The 2 and 1 spot will be filled by guards from Tennessee (Balgourn, Alexander, Massengil, or Cambridge who all have ties to the Hayes family) or Scott-Grayson (ties to MiMi Collins).

2018 could land us another Top 5 class when its all said and done.

i'm glad that we are getting these super talented young women, but it's hard for me to get excited when we haven't done really nothing with the highly rated players we have now. Baylor just made us look like a high school team. Many coaches envy the roster holly has, yet we have looked terrible in many games. Until the play improve with our current team, it's hard for me to get to excited.

this!

These folks must have nothing better to do is all I can figure. They have to go on every single thread and spew the same thing over and over. We can't even enjoy a thread about a new recruit.

no one cares about your ED problems, this post is not about you, or the teams current play. Please see a doctor for help getting excited.

Great get Tennessee!
