An apology to EZE

I disagree. It takes a big person to do that. And I give nothing but respect.

As an aside. I’m on my 59th orbit around the sun. I’ve learned a lot (and still have a lot I can learn better). But…

One of the hardest things in life to say is “I’m sorry.”

But an even harder thing to say is “I forgive you.”

Everyone would be better off to practice both when compelled to do so. And SBV is a Vol fan just like me. No need to hold a grudge IMO.

But please feel free to live in perpetual angst if you prefer.

There is no other subject that generates more passion with Vol fans than the fact we have never made a FF. Coach Barnes has gotten us closer twice than anyone else except Pearl yet he unfairly bears the brunt of criticism. But as I have posted our NCAA FF woes began when he was in HS and long before any of the current players were born.

I was a sophomore when we lost to Dayton 53-52 in 67 in our first NCAA appearance. Dayton went on to lose to UCLA in the Finals as everyone else did in those years. That was before Alcindor(Kareem) had A-fib.:)

I guess it is one of those, "unexplainable ," things in sports.

Game was at Northwestern, I was a senior in high school at a school in the middle of a cornfield south of Chicago. First Vol basketball game I attended, I headed to Ktown following year.. Hell of a game , very disappointing.
The end story, Dayton had the win expunged because of NCAA violations involving their star player Don May. Too late for us though!

Well said. We all expect the young men and women that play for our university to do it with class and grace so it's nice to see our fans doing the same for each other.

Im sitting here waiting to change planes in Bangkok and see this. Love to see the heart felt emotion in Volnation…..and the bilateral class to work things out between Vol brothers! Good work guys!

Change planes where? Now that sounds like something that requires an apology!
