Our return game is horrid and has been. The little dude gives his all but is honestly a carson newman type talent. We must get north and Malone all the touches we can. In addition, I am for kicking more onside kicks in an effort to get more "stops". Butch needs a river boat gambler mentality this year. Next year, not do much.

Gotta say, I agree that the return game must and can improve..... and nothing else in your post. No offense.

Vic, Young, Malone, and Evan Berry should all get a chance to compete for special teams as returners. Hopefully someone out of that group steps up.

The return game is where our lack of depth has been displayed more than any other area. Unless you wanted the first team LB's and secondary out there on all returns, the return game was destined to suffer. This year we have more depth and I believe you will see a vast improvement. I am not a fan of onside kicks and riverboat gambling with a young team. LSU has NFL talent and depth all over their defense so Miles can be more aggressive since he has a shutdown defense. It would be a mistake for CBJ to give up that kind of field position with a young team. IMO.

Whoever CBJ puts on the field will be the best choice. The only person who has been able to do anything better then DY in returns is CP. I doubt we have another CP on the team..

Block for the little guy... and the little guy will be fine.

The defensive line. They have been pushed around for years. They have to help our linebackers and get a pass rush.

BETTIE did someone beat you over the head? Really, lets just kick every kick off as an onsides kick and give our opponents a short field and put our defense in a hole all the time. Onsides kicks are calculated risk that are used rarely and based upon the way the return team lines up, and reacts, as the kicker approaches the ball and reactions of the receiving team on previous kick offs. Help is coming in the return game look up Vic Wharton's Hudl video's. The kid was ranked the number 1 return specialist last year I believe, I have never seen the kid in person but his video's show he is something special. CBJ will get the best player out there and he does have your river boat gambler mentality but he will pick his times to gamble and the times to play the game by the "book".

What about Pearson? He has the shiftiness and the speed. But...I am against putting first stringers (not saying Pearson is) as returners unless they are special like CP because of injury.

I agree 100%. Our DE's have performed horribly minus Vereen who was hurt. The DT's consistently were manhandled as evident by 6.2 YPRush last year.

It'll be similar this year unfortunately. Need more depth at DT

D Young... Bust

Not really a bust as he was a never had it. Tiny kid that got over rated early in his high school career. He is not really a burner, goes down on contact, not shifty, no upside, doesn't make the first guy miss which is critical in the return game. Should have went to Tusculum....

The whole special teams units to improve, we have a hard time kicking a extra point much less field goal and Young scares me to death every time he catches and runs with the ball.

We heard all spring how DY had improved and was working way harder than before so maybe he'll surprise.

STFU. How many yards have you put up for the Big Orange? DY busts his tail scraping for yards, and you sit on your ass making ridiculous statements about him not being able to make people miss.

I get the feeling DY might have trucked over the top of you or your son in high school. Sounds like you have something personal against him. GBO.

Sure are some eery similarities.....

While i hope that vp can show us the same playmaking ability as cp did in his short time here. I don't think people realize just how rare a cp caliber athlete is to come by. His explosiveness and vision was uncanny.
