"I don't know why my mindset isn't like this all the time. I just know it needs to be."- Wes Rucker

Well, I don't mind the hair actually. But if his mindset stays like this no team in the country can beat us. GO VOLS!!!!

Yes he shouldbe getting 20 a game. Too much talent not to be putting up the numbers he was supposed to as a freshman.

Scotty has been a head case since day one. He has great talent but it frustrates me when he puts his head down and pouts like a little kid. If you make a mistake keep playing hard!

Numbers he was supposed to as a freshman... You mean numbers an uneducated and virgin basketball fanbase(for the majority) THOUGHT he should put up?

He was rated high on potential and talent. He was pretty darn raw coming out of HS, and I think we can all see that. He has made a good progression from frosh to soph to jr up until that 3 game stretch of nonexistence. He is still an NBA prospect and if I had to put money on it I'd bet on him getting drafted over getting passed over.

I hope that he reads this. You said it. Stop like its the end of the world when you dribble the ball off your knee. It's not! Go down to the other end and make up for it. Also, why isn't this kid getting more rebounds? With that size my daughter could follow her shot and get the offensive rebound.

Maymon tried that last game... cost us a pt. Of course, that was a FT, but still. When he is shooting from the perimeter, it isn't likely he could follow his shot and get the rebound. Most coaches would prefer their guards to let the F's and C stay inside for the offensive board and have the guards get back and set for defense to prevent an easy runout in the event they miss and the defense gains possession.

When I played ball our coach was adamant about sending 4 to the boards and have the PG back to prevent a easy runout. I think if we did this we could get some of that swagger back. And if we send 4 to the rim there is no reason we shouldn't come away without the ball. I know that there is always going to be a couple of times throughout the game it will bounce their way. But if we sent 4 to the rim every shot for 40 minutes we would be 11-0 and have the best rebounding margin in the NCAA. It is fundamental ball.

No chance with NBA...none, zip. Maybe Europe.

"Following your shot" from the perimeter is a good way to give away a bunch of uncontested dunks on the other end. This isn't elementary school ball.

No he has the skills to be in the league. The NBA. He has made improvments to his game over the years but a junior 2 gaurd cannot be dribbling the ball off of his leg 5 times a game. That is freshman stuff. His ball handling skills need a lot of improvment before we hit the SEC or we might live up to the "fourth best team in the east" crap that everyone is trying to sell.

It's definitely not considered fundamental ball. Almost no-one does this. Kevin O'Neill sends only 2, and gets the other three back for defense, and he's considered a fundamentals-type coach.

Izzo and Dixon hit the offensive glass pretty hard, and even at that I think Pitt only sends 3 most plays.

Exactly. I'll never forget hearing Phil Martelli say "Following your shot is the dumbest sh*t I've ever heard!"

I saw Eddie Jones go charging in after one of his shots in an NCAA Tournament game against Vanderbilt. I was totally convinced John Chaney was going to kill him on the spot.
