An interesting quote from Scotty Hopson...

Well, you can say what you want but the teams that send more to the basket than the other is going to come out on top 99% of the time. You can't honestly tell me that if we had Williams, Hopson, Tatum and Harris crashing the boards with Goins dropping back that any team in the country would be able to outrebound us. It would never happen. Yes, you do keep your point gaurd back for the safety valve but it is FUNDAMENTAL ball and anyone who has played the game at a competitive level knows that.

Just because you place it in upper case letters doesn't make it any less stupid or any more accurate.

Exactly. I'll never forget hearing Phil Martelli say "Following your shot is the dumbest sh*t I've ever heard!"

Phil needs to learn FUNDAMENTAL basketball. He's obviously never been involved in the game at a competitive level.

You can call it stupid if you would like but it is not inaccurate. You cannot honestly tell me that if we get more rebounds, which gives us more offensive possessions, that we would not be undefeated right now.

You need to get your obviously brilliant theory into the hands of guys in bigtime college basketball and the NBA. It'll revolutionize the game. They'll thank you for showing them the error of their ways.

Ha ha ha! Very funny. I'm not saying that I am a genius but thank you for the comment, I'm just trying to emphasize the fact we need to rebound the ball better if we want continued success.

if a team is halfway decent defensively you could send all 5 to the offensive boards and it wouldn't change anything much, they are still gonna be out of position.

If we shoot better we don't have to worry about crashing the offensive boards.

"Following your shot" from the perimeter is a good way to give away a bunch of uncontested dunks on the other end. This isn't elementary school ball.

I wouldn't even teach that in elementary ball. Even at that age today, kids are too good in transition.

People like you are one of the reasons that when coaching youth sports, i stress listening to me and not what the parents are screaming from the bleachers.
