Anarchy In Portland

Fairly simple. How many protesters are there? Now how many are breaking the law?
I’ve seen several .... including a bike lock to the skull.... a knife in the back.... reporters assaulted...buildings looted.... buildings burned..... yeah come to think of it.... not much law breaking

It feels like now that "Trumps troops'' have withdrawn, order has been restored in PDX. Sure protesters are still there and that is their right. It appears that the violence has gone down as the feds back off.

If you think that the presence of law enforcement is an excuse for violent behavior then you’re a moron. If you think it’s the cause of a group of dipshits acting out and the police should leave then you’re a moron.
Maybe your protest should remain peaceful because if it doesn’t then it’s no longer a protest and you’re a criminal

Are you aware that the driver of the pickup was armed? This sounds more like someone trying to start trouble with the protesters. Apparently police have interviewed the driver. Also, running over that motorcycle and leaving the scene is hit and run. I believe that is a felony

I would guess being surrounded by a mob is an extenuating circumstance. They weren't interested in exchanging insurance info

If you have to go into Portland you'd be stupid not to be armed.

Public Service Announcement:
"Protesters, If you want to keep your nice things, do not place them in front of vehicles that are larger than the item that you try to block their path with" "THE MORE YOU KNOW"
This message brought to you by COMMON SENSE!

Sounds like good advice. I would just add, that if you think running over people in the road is the best way to get to where you're going, don't be surprised if you get delayed several years.

Looks like the driver was driving down an empty street until the people ran in front of him and starting beating on his car while laying a motorcycle in front of him

If that's the whole story, I might have done the same.

Why would it matter if he was armed, with all the craziness going on if you have a weapon and don't carry it you are a fool.

The motorcycle was placed there as a means to barricade. Their intent was to stop him and surround the vehicle, that is a threat. That's not hit and run that's escaping from being illegally detained, a crime.

If this guy was armed and decided to flee the threat instead of standing his ground and possibly having to shoot someone, you'd think these idiots and those who excuse their behavior would count this as a win, but no, you are here attempting to further victimize the victim to suit an agenda.

If a person intends to stop my vehicle for their mob by standing in front then they're going to have a bad day.

I'd probably use reverse as my first option. But, as described, I would err on the side of caution too .
