I see a team that relies almost exclusively on the transition basket. When that is taken away I see a team that works it up the floor and tosses it around the perimeter a few times until someone tosses a 3 point prayer. When that is not working I see a coach who has no answer.

If I am wrong, then please correct me.

Just the opposite, we are on the way down. The SEC us much tougher than just a year ago. This team is not very good. Pearl appears to be a great coach at building a team, but not very good at sustaining that success. We have a bunch of players who appear to be really good against the likes of UNC Asheville but disappear against the best competition. I will be so glad next season when Smith, Prince and Chism are gone. I wish Hopson would transfer out.

Yeh good luck with the bigtenVOLS around here. A lot of them hate pearl and hate black kids from the hood. They want a team full of White kids from Indiana.

I guess people just miss the glory days of buzz peterson and jerry green. Hey they ran that half court offense all of you seem to want. Get off the guys back, at the years end we are going to have the same chance to cut the net as the other 64 teams in the tournament.

To the Posters behind Pearl and "GET" that it was just a Bad Performance by the players. WAY TO USE YOUR BRAIN.

From my experience, the people on Pearl's case are the one's who supported the overdue demise of The Fired Coach -- and are more than willing to give Kiffin as much leeway as he needs these first couple of years.

There is, however, a striking resemblance between the Fulmerites and the Pearlophiles.

Its a 30+ game season- even the best have crappy nights. GO BRUCE GO. BP will have our boys in the groove come conference play. Just wait till we beat KY- what will the haters say then? Here we come EAST CROWN - another that is.

DePaul only lost to us by 4 and they went a whopping 9-24 last year and did not win a game in the Big East.

My gosh, I want so bad for the name calling rule to be revoked for just one post. Instead, I will just say that this takes the cake when it comes to most ignorant post in my half year on Volnation. Congratulations to you. You showed that you are a complete idiot and can throw out false IGNORANT allegations with the best of them. You are such a contributor with posts like these.

Make a challenge over the internet, good one tough guy. Yes I play basketball quite frequently. Am I an all star? No. I'm guessing you aren't a collegiate basketball player either so I don't think you have any room to speak.

thats kind of a fair assessment, BUT the part you are leaving out is you also see a team thats 8-2 and plays better defense than 95% of the teams in the ncaa. every style of play has its positives and negatives and we do live and die with transition basketball, defense, and the 3. But 55-16 in the last 2 1/4 yrs seems like good livin to me. I migh be way off on this one but i think We have a good shot to make a run at the final four this year, Hopefully your wrong on this one Voldad.

When the Run and Jump press is going good, it's really good. They force turnovers and it leads to what the team does best, runouts on the fast break. You cannot tell me though that you have been impressed with the team's hustle ever since the ECU game. They look like they don't want to be out there. Except Tatum, that kid brings it nightly.
