... and then there's FU

some of you are truly delusional, blinded by your hatred for another team. Tebow wants to play every down and with all he's accomplished he has more than earned the right to do so. Brantley has just as much game experience as any other back up to a Senior heisman front-runner.

You missed the point of the OP. I couldn't care less about the overrated gators. I was talking about urbie. He wanted to run up the score. That's his style. How else can you explain it? Or is it just because he is trying to get his boy the hypeman? Either way, it's rubbing an opponent's nose it in, and as they say... Karma is a b!7</-/. I am soo looking forward to the day when the gators return to obscurity.

No one would have said anything if it had been Brantley in the game. It's not the fact that they went for it. That was the right thing to do. It gives Vandy a chance to stop them later even if they make the first down. It is about WHO was in the game. I don't see why some people can't get the point.

Not only that, but we went for it 4 times on 4th down.
I just think you picked the wrong time to comment on other teams rubbing it in...

Uh, since when is being aggressive in the first half running up the score?

Isn't the point of playing lesser teams to build a huge lead early so that your reserves can get some PT? I guess all those nailbiter homecoming games with Fulmer as our coach got you accustomed to the "classy" win where we made inferior teams actually think they could play with us.

If you're Vandy....stop 'em. It's called trying to run the clock on a typically high-percentage play.

Haven't seen you on here lately....must be getting close to basketball season and KY's annual beatdown on the football field. :)

A QB who wants to risk injury in the 4th quarter of a game that is already in the bag just to play every down tells me that said QB does not expect to see many plays in the NFL.

Funny, I agree with him.

That is exactly what it was about. Kiffin got the reserves in for almost the entire 2nd half. That was the goal. To put the game away early... It sounds like someone just feels sorry for Memphis.

About 6 minutes left in the 4th quarter... up by 24. Tebow still in (of course) 4th and 1 on about the Vandy 25 yd line.. they go for it. think urbie wasn't trying to run it up? Naaaaaah he has sooooooo much class. Vandy stuffs 'em.

urban meyer is a douchebag... always has been.. always will be.

gator trolls to his defense in 3...2...1...

This might be one of the most idiotic posts I have read on here in a while. Tebow did come out of the game and Brantley was put in.

Here's the play by play from cbssports.

1-20-VANDY27 (4:26) John Brantley passed to Aaron Hernandez for 7 yards.
2-13-VANDY20 (3:46) John Brantley passed to Aaron Hernandez for 7 yards.
3-6-VANDY14 (3:00) John Brantley passed to Frankie Hammond for 6 yards.
4-1-VANDY8 (2:21) Emmanuel Moody lost 1 yard.

On 4th and 1 in that situation you go for it to run more of the clock. If you kick a field goal you would be way more of a dick.

Meyer does leave Tebow in longer than he should, but at least get it right if you are going to make a whole thread about it.

This thread = Complete Fail.

:cray: You are just still pissy because Urbs ran it up on you in the swamp a couple of years back and is unbeaten against Tennessee. Clearly Urban Meyer and Florida are in your head. :moon2:
