Andre Debose could have had a big freshmen year in Gainesville and his loss will be felt.
The fact is, Florida's weakest position right now is WR.
Deonte Thompson, Riley Cooper, David Nelson, Brandon James, and Aaron Hernandez make up a dynamic group of pass catchers with various talents, but the fact is, the depth behind those five players is suspect.
The 2nd string right now is like this:
Frankie Hammond Jr, TJ Lawrence, and Ommarius Hines are all talented RS freshmen that could contribute, and they all have different attributes that make them useful. But this group has been noticeably inconsistent, and the staff isn't ready to rely on them.
The odd man out is RS JR Justin Williams, who has tons of talent, but has underachieved in his time at UF. If anyone benefits from the absence of Debose, it is Williams, who will now have yet another chance to prove that he belongs in the WR rotation at UF.
All in all, the loss hurts more than UF fans would like to admit. Debose would have added another deep threat to the offense, and another guy that could have taken hand offs in the running game.
He wouldn't have started, but he would have seen the field at least 10-15 times a game.
