Changed a whole lot. Its a very loose adaptation and some of the most memorable parts from the book don't even take place. Max Koher and the media group aren't even in the movie. The ending however I felt was fixed better than the book. The Hassasin in this movie is just a dude that goes arond in a suit and shoots people so they took out all the coolness factor with him. Its a good movie, but i dont understrand why alot of the action in the book and the cool characters were completely removed. I also don't understand why so much darn CGI was used. I mean for gods sake in one scene a chimney with smoke coming out of it is done by CGI. It wasnt a bad movie but could have been much better 6/10

That's why I never read the book before the movie!
The visuals the mind creates are hard to surpass.

I really liked this movie.Combining the past with the future in such a way as to weave the two together in a way that accentuates the divides of science and the church was masterful.

We are looking at academy nods to Ron Howard and Tom Hanks.

A must see,period.......

I saw it too, last night. Haven't read either book yet. I did not see the ending coming.

his stories don't translate well to the big screen. Brown comes up with some good stories, but he's a horrible writer, his novels are choppy and poorly paced and he relies way too often on chapter cliffhangers to keep you 'hooked', like "...and then he opened the door and saw something that TOTALLY defied imagination and shook his beliefs to the core /CHAPTER" and then the next chapter is some completely unrelated ********.

I'd probably like most of the stories in Dan Brown novels if they were written by someone who had an actual understanding of history, an ear for dialogue and a knack for good pacing and tension building.

It also doesn't help that if you've read one Brown novel, you've pretty much read them all. They all follow the same formula meaning once you've read one of his books you can see the 'twist' coming a mile away in all the others (at least of the ones I've read, anyway).
