It is that time again that I felt like handing out a few GURU promotions. What is a GURU you ask? Well really, nothing. It's just a way that we designate people who have been around for at least a year and have a lot of posts. When the board started it was 1000 posts, but now it typically requires more than that.

Back in those days, when the board was small, we tried to take into consideration quality of posts and overall contribution to the board. However, that didn't work as I still had lapses in judgement (see vols2345 and CheckerboardCharly). :eek:lol: Sorry guys, I'm just kidding.

Anyway, there were so many great qualifiers right now that I just could not make a fair decision. So we decided that the promotions would go to the top 5 posters who have been around for at least a year. And the winners are (drum roll)..........

1. hatvol
2. lexvol
3. IBleedOrange24/7
4. orange+white=heaven
5. #10 Ainge #10

Congratulations and thank you for your continued contributions to the board.

Also, due to the overall level of NASCAR activity in the Other Sports Forum, we have decided to give NASCAR it's own subforum. Check it out! TennFan has done a great job in organizing picks for each race and tracking standings. I want to personally thank him for keeping up with that. I know a lot of members enjoy it.

The man is gonna make sure you're part of the Volnation, through dumb and dumber (you'll have to do something too tasteless for him not to have a counter), and I'll bet he'll even agree with you younger posters as long if you have "young" person centerfolds to show. Just kiddin!!!


In all seriousness, I approve of all the newly electives.

Jasongivm6, I am not quite sure what you just said either. You mentioned hat and ban so I don't know if you think GURUs can ban people? They cannot. Again, it's just a designation for some of the top posters by volume who have been around for at least one year.

I can't help it the pic won't work lol. It worked for a while(Duke Crews smacking the backboard) but quit for some reason.

you know, that picture is suppose to be a pic of duke crews blocking a shot above the white square on the backboard if im not mistaken.

What an honor...I would like to take this time to thank the Super Freak, NC Bait and Lawgator for posting so much fun objectionable material, Charles for putting me on his Bammer list, USAF for hanging in there through the thick and thin, LIO for talking rasslin, Hat, GA, OEmpire, for always being around to chat, and last but not least Volmanjr for always posting something about the poster above him and all those nice nicknames I have had an opportunity to respond to. For all that I have left out, you make the Nation what it is God Bless.

Not really.To be honest with you.It adds fireworks to the board.How does it feel to be a Volnation Guru?I wondered this aloud about you a while back if you recall.
