Coach Spurrier thinks we have a good shot at being undefeated next year after the Glide n Tide offense starts clicking.

He did say that he thinks SC can win the SEC next year. But I never heard him say undefeated.

We have picked up some easy games next year and dropped off some tougher opponents. I believe!

so what kind of realistic record do you see the Vols attaining next year with losses to which programs?

no response LG?? we've got UF's number next year by the way, you've escaped an "L" 2 years in a row by luck and the 3rd will be the charm for the VOLS!!!!! :dance2:

LG, what, in his 2 year tenure at UF, makes you believe that Urban's Gators can score 42 points against anybody without a "Western" or "Central" in their name?

That was pretty pointless.

Cotton, what in Fulmer's 2-year tenure coaching against Urban Meyer makes you believe that Fulmer is capable of winning a game against an Urban Meyer-coached Florida team?

In 2005, they barely defeated the worst Vol team in 10 years. In 2006, we only lost by 1 point. I don't think a win is that out of the question.

Hell, I thought this was football. I guess it's horse shoes or hand grenades.

It's not as if Meyer has been pummelling the Vols. You act like Meyer's teams have outscored the Vols 130-6 the last two years.

no one can seriously claim that meyer has fulmer's number from the two games so far... even i got admit i think fulmer can stand up to meyer. it doesn't matter how we "feel".. it's obvious fulmer isn't outmatched in these matchups

Would you feel better by losing a close game??

The controversy was regarding whether or not Fulmer is capable of defeating Meyer. I don't think a one point squeaker solidifies Meyer as an unstoppable Fulmer destroyer.

You think LG's 42-17 prediction is a good one? I didn't predict a win, although I do think the game could be winnable, but if you are willing to lay me 3 1/2 touchdowns, I'll take the Vols for whatever wager you'd like to make 10 months in advance.

Agreed..both are very good coaches...heck, even the Zooker won his first game at Neyland.

What was pointless about it? LG predicted a 42 point outburst from a team that is averaging a little over 20 in SEC games and will be replacing a QB next year. Even if you think Tim Tebow is John Elway, I'd say it's a pretty valid question.
