I noted in the storyoftheday thread that she got sentenced to 40 years at hard labor according to one report I saw, without possibility of parole, in a plea bargain. They forced her to testify against her own husband. I didn't know any of that was possible.

They give murderers 15 years, don't they?

P.S. You could buy a lot of 53 cent problem solvers for what that's gonna cost society.

They didn't force her to testify.

She probably begged for the 40 years in hopes that the mommas and daddys were dead or too feeble to do to her what would happen today if she were free after doing that to their kids. You don't have to go far in La to find a swamp full of gators.

could be. It seemed mighty strange to me. Maybe she made a deal to increase the number of years she was locked up.

It should be considered legal precedent that we peruse the pics of the accused to determine if a CRIME has actually been committed. 🤔
