I don't understand. The way some on here painted it, Grant would have taken a pay cut to get out of Tuscaloosa.

if he was smart all it would take is a turkey sandwich and a bus ticket

I think you are still confusing the tennessee job with the rest of civilization.

Hey, given that Miami is Grant's hometown why don't we just merge the hurricane's opening with this one?

South Beach? Tuscaloosa?
Latin chicks? Trailer trash?
Topless babes? Topless dudes?
Celebrities? Welfare recipients?
Tropical weather? Tropical diseases?
Ferraris? Fire Birds?

And they would pay him to leave Suckaloosa and go to Miami?

Nick Saban took a paycut to leave Miami for Tuscaloosa.

Probably something to do with the fact that he preferred to leave on his own terms instead of getting fired. I'd bet that if he could go back a few years, he would have just stayed in Baton Rouge.

Why are tn fans so obsessed with Alabama's coaches. Are you so afraid you will never again beat Alabama unless the coaches leave? I know ut has had to settle for their 5 or 6 choices as head coaches lately and have landed coaches no one is excited about. But look at where your programs are and what may lie ahead for any coach and just be glad you got the ones you have. Grant was not coming to ut, and doesn't look like Saban is leaving, so take what you have and stop the rumors.

Has nothing to do with ut's inability to hire coaches. Last week, ut was foolishly thinking Grant would come to tn. Why would a coach leave a promising team, where he is getting a raise, to take on a team that will be facing ncaa sanctions. After ut hires a coach no one knew, the next move is to start rumors, face it, no big name coach will be coming to tn. until they know what the future holds. It is just not that big of a job right now.

No you are wrong, I do remember, and ut fans need to realize if a school is facing possible sanctions, having coaching turnovers, coaches lying to the ncaa and cheating, you can't expect big name coaches to just come there because it is ut. There are too many other places to go and schools willing to pay them. Support the coaches willing to come there, and stop the rumors about other coaches.
