I am a recruiting GEEK..just like ya'll are. BUT..wait until Feb and then form opinions on the class. Then wait 2 yrs and form a TRUE opinion!

Who really cares right now....2 months until signing date! Santa could bring CLK some nice "gifts"!!!

Good post. When a JR in high school commits as early as he did I tend not to get my hopes up. It is a long time until Feb. 2011.

because Johnson is a freak and a future Lombardi Award winner

ESPN is simply picking this up because they feel it's related to the NCAA and the Vols recruiting. Johnson is a 2011 beast of a DL we would have loved to have ... he's related to Wilson, so this was a no brainer for him staying in state. ESPN would never comment on a 2011 recruit via the bottom line unless they thought this was associated with the current investigation.

2010 recruits will change their mind 10 times before NSD, so why get worked up over a 2011 17 year old ... unless you're ESPN trying to spin this...

Only now that he's an LSU commit, right? Our D-line's gonna be sick without him.
I wanted him too, but if we can get Quarles and Willis on the line, side by side with J. Smith and Miller...this line is going to be all 1st Rd draft picks by the time Coach O and Monte are through with them

Top junior Anthony Johnson drops Volunteers for Bayou Bengals

Class of 2011 ESPNU 150 Watch List defensive lineman Anthony Johnson (New Orleans, La./Walker) has decommitted from Tennessee in favor of LSU, ESPN affiliate Web site EyeOnTheTigers.com reports.

"I put a lot of thought into this, and this decision was based a little on football.," he said. "LSU is a great football team, one of the best in the nation. They get their defensive lineman drafted every year. But from the family stand point, all I have left is my mom, grandma and little sister. And to play close to home, in front of them, it means the world to me. I want to be the best man I can be, and being in my family?s life is a part of that."
Programs including Oklahoma, Texas Tech and California have also pursued the 6-foot-3, 295-pound prospect.

That's because he said he wasn't troll. Registering on a forum just to try and rub dirt in our eyes when a prospect commits to you guys is pretty juvenile, IMO. I've never registered for a rival team's website. Trust me though, keep going down the same path you are and I don't think you'll last long. It's sad that most of the gator trolls here have more class and seem smarter than you.

I thought we would have a hard time keeping him with Wilson and Orgeron here.

Got played by Frank Wilson.

There is no other way to spin this.

Our school just paid Frank Wilson to work primarily on future prospects. He now knows everyone we want in MS and LA and he will go and get them for a conference rival.

We all knew it was coming with his relative, but it is going to happen more.
