Anthony McClain (UT Bball)

Basically UCONN was the top team but they have alot of young talent and it doesn't seem they will leave too soon. I doubt UF has much of a chance because of no schollys. Cincy seems to be the team to beat.

Mick Cronin does have some nice ties to the DC Assault program. When he was an assistant at UC under Huggs, he recruited Dermarr Johnson to UC from the Assault.

Also, UC is such a mess, if he can play at all he's guaranteed to start from day one.

Bruce has made up some big ground, and it looks like Anthony will visit. I get the feeling it will come down to the Bearcats and the Vols. He can start rite away at Cincy, which I think is the main reason he likes them. If Pearl can convince him that 25 mintutes is enough and competing for championships is in our future;then I like our chances. He also says "the people" will factor in his descision as well. He'll like the environment and the fans too if he trips to Knoxville. If he visits, I like our chances of snagging him in this spring:shades:

McClain would definitely be a solid pickup. It would give us 4 legit posts(Chism, Crews, Childress, and McClain) which means we could actually start Crews and Chism. It would also give us 2 legit weakside defenders in Crews and McClain. It would also guarantee that Williams would get that redshirt that he really needs. A class of Tatum, Williams, Prince, and McClain would be pretty solid, though nothing as good as the previous class.

I'd say this is our depth next year:
PG
Smith/Howell/Prince
SG
Lofton/Tabb
SF
Smith/Tatum/Passley
PF
Crews/Childress(or McClain)
C
Chism/McClain(or Childress)/Williams

I would consider that a legit 10 man rotation with Prince as our 11th and Passley our 12th.

Agree on all except Prince.. I could see him playing SG and maybe some SF in the rotation.

I really hope Crews can develop his midrange game because most of his points come from getting the ball right next to the basket and laying up and scoring. I almost wish Crews and Chism had their heights switched up because Chism is more complete and Crews is a banger down low.

 . I don't know about that now.. Chism has been finishing around the basket much better lately.. He took it to Horford and Morris last week and I think he's showing more confidence in going up strong.. Duke will do much better when he is presumably playing the 4 next year..

You might be right, he certainly is stepping into the center spot quite nicely.

Hopefully he can do it on the road. He really really sucked against South Carolina.

They all sucked on the road.. Including the game preparation.. This goes on the team and the staff. What worries me, is that I did not see any adjustments in our defense during the second half.. That can't happen anymore.. We will do nothing in March if we come prepared like that for any game.

Yeah, but Chism got stuffed about 3 times.

Ya boi Crews got stuffed twice as well..:acute:

Sorry, but I gotta back Big Wayne up.. I used to play with him when I played AAU. I try and talk to him from time to time. He's been working real hard on his game and he's real excited about the end of year.. Hints why I hope he finishes the year stong.. It will give him and Crews lots of confidence going into next year.
